SV: SV: [slim] When setting File Type not accepting changes. Why ???

2006-02-26 Thread Tore Johnsson

Thanks for your answer.
I will do the search as you suggest. You are surely right about other
filetypes.

I don´t know if you saw my first mail but this is what I wrote about the
filetypes
Kind Regards
Tore Johnsson

Thanks Micheal for your answer

I run Windows2000, Slimserver 6.2.1, file path is E:\Musik and I have the
following file types MP3, lame, gtp, I have installed in Slimserver\Bin Lame
and Flac from 6.2.1 installation.

When I enter Slimserver Settings File Types I notice that I marked all of
them but when I now enter some of them is not there.

Kind Regards
Tore Johnsson

When I take the properties for E:\Musik it shows 24548 files
 - in Slimserver it shows 22736 songs.
 - in Squeezebox Setting 22736 songs

What filetypes do you have? I do eg. have some album cover images - they
are counted in Windows but obviously not as a song. You'd rather do a
search for *.flac *.mp3 and give this number. It will be closer to
slimserver's total.

I saw it, but got called just after I sent that first reply.

So you can run lame from the command line?

You have enabled some file type which need further binaries. But do you
really need all those file types? Do you have Monkey encoded files?
Shorten? Musepack? If you don't have these just don't care about missing
binaries. You don't need them.

Thanks Michael

So you can run lame from the command line?

I do as follows. I start command prompt and the write
d:\program\slimserver\server\bin\lame\lame.exe
I get different instructions and endings.

Is this what you mean by run?

Kind Regards
Tore Johnsson

I'm not sure about this path. Does it work if you put it in bin directly
(without the lame subfolder)?
