[DNG] WARNING: don't upgrade to libc6 2.25 tonight with openrc

2017-11-18 Thread Adam Borowski
Hi!
glibc 2.25 has been uploaded to unstable (and thus also ceres) on Saturday.
If you're using openrc, DO NOT UPGRADE GLIBC FIRST! Otherwise, your system
will be rendered mostly unbootable.

I've made a minimal fix, it should hit the relevant archives soon. But
until proper Breaks:/etc stanzas are added, you need to make sure openrc is
upgraded first.

That somebody was me. Hi Steve I have a name. And if discussing openrc
as an init you should have replied to my mail, not the previous one.
And openrc-init is not a supervisor, has never claimed to be either.

In my opinion you are pushing too hard for your runit, s6 etc scrpits.
Just show us the code please. That talks much more than words ;)

Just for clarity: This changed thread subject is _not_ about libreswan
or or supervisors. You can continue with that in the origilan thread.
But honestly, that thread is not even about supervisors. Maybe you
should start your own thread?

wow :^) I'm now considering to add this as a feature in jaro-mail :^D

I'm not using procmail anymore since the 2.0 release, but the concept
is great and can be easily ported.

thanks

I'm delighted to credit Tobia Conforto for this excellent procmail
recipe.
