Hi, It's the Dorchester pub meeting tonight, a week later than normal. There's bit of snow left on the grass, but more of that went overnight. This BBC forecast, http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/3081 now says sleet and the temperatures have risen. It's for Weymouth, but it's the one you get even if you enter Dorchester into the search. Seems they don't do a Dorchester-specific one. And I don't think it's easy to find the surrounding towns that they do a forecast for, so I'm stuck with Weymouth's even though it's on the coast and Dorchester's higher and inland. Altering the number suggests they're arranged alphabetically. Hi Terry, So will I if I can get some accurate data and there is no snow. Those two forecasts are totally different! Is there anyone in Dorchester who can confirm the current weather? Just to give some confidence in the forecasting. I've just driven from Weymouth to Dorchester. For some hours now it's been warmer with light rain, but a bit windy. All the snow has melted everywhere. Even out in the coutryside at Maiden Castle. It's just a normal wet evening here in Dorchester at the moment. Unless it suddenly gets a lot colder, I don't see there being snow. Talk about mixed messages. BBC News at 6 has just had images from a village in South Devon with major snowfall going on at the moment. I left Crossways and headed back home (corfe castle) around 5pm, just rain everywhere...
