[Drakelist] Drake R8 transceive Elad SWITCH BOX
Hello Everybody, I would like to use the Drake R8 with a mil transceiver. The transceiver has the PTT which is used also send CW. I have a Elad Switchbox, http://www.woodboxradio.com/download/SwitchBoxManENG_Reducedv1.03.pdf, for that, so I should be fine. If I connect everything according to the Elad manual, the R8 should be protected but would not mute during TX. And I would like to MUTE the R8. The R8 requires ground to receive. So I think to connect the MUTE of the R8 to the PTT connector of the Elad Switchbox and the PTT of the Transceiver. I checked the voltage of the PTT at the transceiver and it is about ten volts. Would I make a damage connecting the PTT of the transceiver to the mute of the R8, or it is the correct way to transceive? Thanx for reading and 73, Franco iz2oos ___ Drakelist mailing list Drakelist@zerobeat.net http://mailman.zerobeat.net/mailman/listinfo/drakelist

Jim, why not these: http://shop.cointaker.com/product.sc?productId=104categoryId=2 or these: http://shop.cointaker.com/product.sc?productId=361categoryId=60 The above of course are their blue led 44/47 bulbs. Are the super brights too bright? Thank you for the links and ideas. Re: [Drakelist] Fw: [DrakeRadio] led bulb replacement
Simple answer, the red numbering for dB-over-9 numbers in the 7-line S-Meter is turned to black by the pure blue LEDs. I liked the ice blue look for the 7-Line, but losing the red highlights always bugged me. With the warm white, the red is back, although maybe not quite as noticable as with real lamps. And the closer-to-original coloring keeps Garey off my back ;) 73 -Jim NU0C On Sat, 21 Jul 2012 08:45:56 -0700, Jim Pruitt wrote: Jim, why not these: http://shop.cointaker.com/product.sc?productId=104categoryId=2 or these: http://shop.cointaker.com/product.sc?productId=361categoryId=60 The above of course are their blue led 44/47 bulbs.
