Re: [Dri-devel] DRI CVS mesa-4-0-branch doesn't compile
You need to compile DRI mesa-4-0-branch alongside mesa_4_0_branch from Mesa3d. You'll also need to specify your current X libs. Add this to your host.def: #define LdPreLib -L$(BUILDLIBDIR) -L$(USRLIBDIR) -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ --- Dan Chen [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG key: www.cs.unc.edu/~chenda/pubkey.gpg.asc On Sat, 8 Dec 2001, Zilvinas Valinskas wrote: Have anyone got any luck compiling DRI CVS mesa-4-0-branch ? [Dri-devel] Need assistance compiling mesa-4-0-branch
Hi folks, I'm attempting to incorporate DRI's mesa-4-0-branch into my current X 4.1.0.1 (Debian sid from X 4_1 branch) setup but am running into difficulties. I checked out the mesa-4-0-branch and created the build tree as the DRI compilation guide instructed (which btw is rather !current, so when I get all this working correctly, I'll submit some changes to the documentation), and I cp -R /usr/X11R6/lib into xc/exports/. . make World is still failing with being unable to link against libXau.a, however. I've checked dri-user and -devel archives, but no viable solution was listed. Would someone with a cluebat lend me a hand and point out where I'm failing miserably? Thanks! --- Dan Chen [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG key: www.cs.unc.edu/~chenda/pubkey.gpg.asc ___ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
Re: [Dri-devel] Q: ATI Radeon 7500/8500
I believe Mike Harris said he has 2D working, but 3D's up in the air...? --- Dan Chen [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG key: www.cs.unc.edu/~chenda/pubkey.gpg.asc On Tue, 16 Oct 2001 [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have not seen these cards yet, so I don't know for sure. However, I was told by ATI that, at least in TV-in/out respects Radeon All-in-Wonder 8500 is similar to existing All-in-Wonders. I would reasonably expect 2d and overlay to function and, perhaps, even dri although they did have some chagnes to the graphics pipeline so we can't know for certain until someone tries ;) ___ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
Re: [Dri-devel] Rage128 and VIA KT133
I have had the absolute worst luck getting any Rage128 or Radeon-based ATI card to work on my Asus A7V (Via Apollo Pro KT133 chipset), but the unofficial FAQ on bork-DCC in #dri on OpenProjects notes that there are tremendous problems with early Via chipsets, which I guess the KT133 falls under. This past weekend I spent 30+ hours straight trying to get four different Radeon cards to even start X 4.1.0 without locking (thank some deity for Alt+SysRq+r/s/u/b). I've scoured the dri-* archives and Google search returns all in naught... Hope you have better luck. =) Cheers, dtc --- Dan Chen [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG key: www.cs.unc.edu/~chenda/pubkey.gpg.asc On Mon, 18 Jun 2001, Alexander Strohmaier wrote: Does the combination Rage128 RF chipset and the VIA KT133 (VT8363) work for DRI ?
