Thanks for that. Really, I depend on that robust piece of code, which has

if dwm can cope

Is there any trick to compile it? I absoulutely failed to compile it,

Re: [dwm] New layout

Hello,

Thank you very much for this patch, i'm loving it! It seems to be pretty
stable and feels somewhat like wmii, just without all that 9P
shell-script-and-what-not-config-fuzz.

I hope you won't stop developing dwmii ;-)

What about getting rid of supporting the selection of multiple

layout flavors in favor for the column layout?

I would like it :) But i need modes per column in this case.
Stack (That would need titlebars...), maximized and tiled.
But are the modes are even possible in dwm with only 2000 lines of code?

Hi there, more and more I get straight to a 4.8 release. The hg

So THAT'S the reason why you insert Xinerama! You got two Monitors for
yourself!

BTW: I like the new Layout for the website! Looks fresh, more like dwm.
Except for the dwm logo, which has still the old look. The checkout of
the new diri is possible. At least, i were able to do this :)

!!!OFF TOPIC!!! But, it looks like you develop DWM and WMII at the same time.
Do you use
both, depending on what you're developing now? !!!END OFF TOPIC!!!

I personally don't need Xinerama and it looks like, i won't need it so
fast. But it's cool, that i can safely make a Xinerama setup, without
some dwm chaos.

for those being interested what I developed during last night, I

See the man page for reference. It feels as some kind of
lightweight dwm. sbar is not finished yet.

I've found 2wm accidentally by searching your Mercurial Repository. I
personally like the idea for places, where it's just overkill to
install dwm. For example, secondary machines, or machines, where you
aren't really working, or for paranoid people, as window manager for an
special internet-surfing account.

I will continue using dwm, but 2wm will be installed now on my other
computers.

Re: [dwm] [ANNOUNCE] dvtm-0.3

2008-01-22 Thread Fabio Scotoni

Hello Marc

But it's giving the arrow keys as ^[[A to ^[[D to vim. Good, that's not a
big problem, at least, as i can use hjkl, but it would be more
comfortable with the arrow keys.

I never noticed this, it seems like the following workaround works in
the shortterm (colors may be a bit different though).

TERM=linux vim [some file]

vim checks $TERM and does some things differently if it thinks it's run
from within an xterm or derivate like rxvt which is what madtty/dvtm
emulates.

DOH! TERM=linux did the trick. Some built-in workaround wouldn't be wrong.
For sure, i'm using it with my dwm as replacement for four urxvt's, but
for the console it's a good idea.

Is there ANY way to check, if dwm/madtty is hosting?

And dvtm is leaving an empty screen behind, not a really nice thing.

What do you mean by this? A blank screen after you have quit dvtm?

My fault. Forgot to do PREFIX-q.

Thanks

The most people use screen, but it's not what i personally like.
Congratulations to you and your wonderful work!
