Re: [DX-CHAT] Are CW ops getting older?
N2RRA sarcastically wrote: Folks! Just because you use a keyboard for CW does not make you CW operators unless you can receive and send CW with some sort of keyer. Any fool can send with a keyboard, but when put to test can you step up? While opinions are like another part of the anatomy, we all have one, and most of them stink! I really have no idea how what is used to send, or receive has anything to do with CW ops getting older? My CW may not be the best, but I copy with my ears, and use a keyboard to send. If that makes me a fool, I can live with that. Personally, I find computer generated CW, far easier to copy. C'Ya, Shelby - K4WW --- To unsubscribe or subscribe to this list. There only seems to be one alternative to getting older? Personally, I much prefer getting older, than the alternative? :) C'Ya, Shelby - K4WW --- To unsubscribe or subscribe to this list. Re: [DX-CHAT] FJ: Canned Worms (long)
7O1YGF remains in pending documentation status. As is, at least for me, ZB2/4O3AL. I fail to understand, if an operation is legitimate, why the operator(s) are reluctant to send documentation? [DX-CHAT] VU7LD
On 12/19, I wrote: I thought I worked VU7LD/VU3ELR, 12/16, 1455Z, 20 SSB. Now, according to the online log, I DID work VU7LD/VU3ELR on 12/16! My apologies to anyone that I may have caused not to work VU7, as I again worked VU7LD/VU3RSB, yesterday. I assure y'all that I'm NOT a DX hog, nor do I have any desire for that reputation! [DX-CHAT] VU7LD/VU3ELR
I thought I worked VU7LD/VU3ELR, 12/16, 1455Z, 20 SSB. The operator acknowledged me with K4WW, 59, roger, however he never acknowledged my report, to him? This was normal for this particular operator, both before, and after, I thought I worked him. As my call does not appear in the online log, last updated 12/18, I'm curious if anyone experienced this scenario, in/around the above mentioned time frame, and does/does not appear in the online log? This may be a moot point, as I hope I worked VU7LD/VU3RSB, earlier. Time will tell, when the online log is updated. [DX-CHAT] TO4WW in CQWWCW
Prior to the intervention of a member of the ARRL desk the consultation of on-line logs is temporarily suspended, I noticed several CQWWCW, High Power, stations with confirmations on 15 meters. I find this interesting, as all of TO4WW operation, on 15 meters, in CQWW, was above 21.100? At least that's what the DX Summit spot database indicates? Above 21.100, US stations are restricted to 200 watts, PEP. I listened, briefly, to the pileup, and the signal strength of those stations was no different, than when I heard them working below 21.100? turn off amplifier, work TO4WW on 15 meters, turn amplifier back on :) Happy Holidays to all C'Ya, Shelby Subscribe/unsubscribe, feedback, FAQ, problems http://njdxa.org/dx-chat To post a message, DX related items only, [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is the DX-CHAT reflector sponsored by the NJDXA http://njdxa.org

[DX-CHAT] Honor Roll
Received today results from last DXCC submission, and I'm fortunate to have achieved Honor Roll! This is not a brag, just a heartfelt thanks to all that made it possible! Over the years, I have found that working them is only a small part of the battle! Without those that traveled on various DXPedetions, others that live/operate from sparsely populated areas, the thoughtfulness of those that did respond to QSL requests, the many QSL managers that continue to do a thankless job, and the DX community in general, this hobby would cease to be of little interest to me! For fear of omitting anyone, I will just say: THANKS TO ALL C'Ya, Shelby - K4WW Subscribe/unsubscribe, feedback, FAQ, problems http://njdxa.org/dx-chat To post a message, DX related items only, [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is the DX-CHAT reflector sponsored by the NJDXA http://njdxa.org
