If I remember correctly, Hrane never was QRV. They were supposed to use P5A, and actually had a license or permission from the government, but the military never signed off on the operation and thus they were never actually on the air. They did spend a lot of time listening to people pirating the P5A and P5?YT1AD calls... Ed is actually active on RTTY. I enjoyed a Q and it is posted in the log. His SSB activity wasn't valid until AFTER he started on that mode, and the same will probably be true for his RTTY activity. No-one is FORCING you to work him at the moment, and you are quite welcome to watch the rest of us try. You can be sure that if I get the chance, I will try, and to heck with the fact that it isn't being counted as valid for DXCC so far. I agree one insurance contact is sometimes worthwhile... but there is a certain W8 who works every DXpedition 4 times a day - just to show the world he can. Mome, I only repeat what I heard on the radio. There was a recording of Hrane when he left for Korea, and the one at Rome Airport(today?). I will be very happy if we hear Hrane next week from N. Korea, and I will be sorry to have been part of spreading bad information. Beyond that, the only indication I have of their result is the spots I've seen of the operation (I haven't heard them myself, yet).
