[Dx4win] Spots from DXTelnet
I seem to have lost the instructions for importing cluster spots from DXTelnet. I used to have it set up that way and it worked fine. (dx4w602) Thanks from Joe, W6RLL
[Dx4win] Spots from DXTelnet
Hi Joe, there is file called DXT2WIN.TXT with step by step instruction in DXTelnet. I copied the following information from this file: 1) Start DXTelnet, go to Configuration menu then, Links and in the Link to DXHUNTER section set the DXHUNTER installation path string to: C:\DXTELNET\DXT4WIN\ Check the Enable Link check box, press Save, quit and restart DXTelnet connecting to any site, for instance connect to CQDX-IRC. 2) Run C:\DXTELNET\DXT4WIN\DXT4WIN.EXE 3) Nothing special must be done at DX4WIN side. If DXTelnet is your unique spot source, set the packet port to MSG. The link between DXTelnet and DX4WIN can now be two way (before it was ione way: DXT DX4WIN): in DX4WIN, set the message handshake string to: ThunderRT5Form|DXTelnetDX4WIN You can also use any other port value and DXTelnet spots will still be analysed by DX4WIN together with the other spots coming from the port you've set. 73's Pawel, SP7PS http://sp7ps.pl http://shop.sp7ps.pl Joe Young wrote: I seem to have lost the instructions for importing cluster spots from DXTelnet. [Dx4win] Hello Gang!
Hello Gang! I am presently signing up to use the DX4WIN program for my logging. I am presently using another program that I am not completely satisfied with. I like the features on this one and have only one question. How hard will it be for me to change my present log database of over 12,000 entries into the DX4WIN program from AC Logger? Has anyone else changed their database from that one to the DX4WIN program? [Dx4win] Needed Spots Not Being Highlighted
I'm a recent convert from 5.03 to 6.02 and I am noticing that frequently a station I need for a new band is only showing up as a Priority 8. For example, 3B9C was just spotted on 80 meter SSB and I have never worked 3B9 on 80 meters with any mode, yet it was displayed in the spot window as a Priority 8. I have had similar problems with XF4IH. Under Packet 1 preferences I have DX Alerts set to Award band not conf. I have 80 meters and SSB checked on both the Station and DXCC tabs, I have Prefix for spotters set to K,VE and the spots are from CONUS stations. I am obviously doing something wrong, but I need help finding it. 73, Dick -- Dick Flanagan K7VC NV SM E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks, Randy. It was defaulted to 10,000, but changing it to 0 had no affect. 73, Dick At 04:55 PM 3/22/2004, you wrote: Make sure , on the first screen, that wkd cutoff is set to 0... ur other contacts may be too old. Thanks, Garry, but I tried both New Award Band and New Award Mode, with the same results. Oddly enough, when SM5RQ was spotted on 80 m SSB, it was spotted as a priority 3 just like it should. I don't know what the difference is. 73, Dick At 11:05 PM 3/22/2004, Garry Shapiro wrote: -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dick Flanagan Sent: Monday, March 22, 2004 4:47 PM To: DX4WIN Reflector Subject: [Dx4win] Needed Spots Not Being Highlighted I'm a recent convert from 5.03 to 6.02 and I am noticing that frequently a station I need for a new band is only showing up as a Priority 8.
