[Dx4win] Configuring DX4WIN to work with QRZ.COM
Hi Jim, and all the DX4win fellows... Can someone please send me instructions or a screen shot showing how to configure DX4WIN F3 callbook lookup key to work with QRZ.COM? 1) In the main menu go to File Preferences Ext Data Website callsign lookup. 2) Mark the Enabled box. 3) Put http://www.qrz.com/ in the Callsign lookup address box. 4) Put http://www.qrz.com/callsign?qsl= in the QSL manager lookup address box. 5) File Save changes and exit. Now, when you have a callsign in the QSO log, hit F3 (The Callsign/Mgr lookup windows will appear with the related info). Hit Enter and the Internet browser will open with the QRZ.com page showing the QSL manager data. Note: If you invert the steps 3) and 4) (i.e. puting http://www.qrz.com/callsign?qsl= in the Callsign lookup address box and vice-versa), when you hit Enter after F3, You will get the QRZ.com page showing the data for the callsign, not for the manager. 73 de Isidro, EA8NQ E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Visit the EA8NQ's DX Page (in Spanish): http://www.qsl.net/ea8nq/ --- From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jun 19 00:59:02 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Franki ON5ZO) Date: Sun Jun 19 01:00:00 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] problem: QSOs spread on multiple labels References: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dear users, I have the following problem. F2 is set to mark as confirmed and put label field to Yes. When I have more than one QSO with a station, but he sent me only a QSL for the first QSO, I use F2 to confirm that QSO and set label flag to 'Y'. The other QSOs labels are set to 'Y' by hand (with the mouse). When I print the labels, the confirmed and non-confirmed QSOs with the same station are split up and printed on two different labels. How can I group these QSOs in order to get them on the same label? TNX / 73 Franki ON5ZO

Dick, Once you have the F3 window open do a right click with the mouse over the F3 window. When the little options window opens with the right click see if there is a check mark next to AUTOMATIC UPDATE. (the last option listed). If not, put a check mark there and try it. Jim, AD1C, pointed this out to me when my F3 window didn't work the same when I updated. 73 from the pointy end of the state Are you snowed in there even if it is June? There wasn't a check mark. I added one. I can't detect any difference. 73 from the pointy end of the state Are you snowed in there even if it is June? Lots of snow still up in the higher elevations (out here valley floors sit at 5,000 feet), but most of it is gone from the lower elevations. 73, Dick -- Dick Flanagan K7VC NV SM E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

How can I group these QSOs in order to get them on the same label? This can happen if the QSOs were logged in different Groups and Print Group Names is set in the Print QSL Labels window. 73, Dick Dick, I don't use the groups feature and the Print Group Names box is unchecked in the Print QSL Labels window... - Franki ON5ZO

[Dx4win] Packet Window
My packet window is not scrolling. I have to manually scroll it to see the latest announcements. Where it says Packet Window, in parenthesis, it says Holding. Does anyone know what that means? And how do I get the Packet Window to scroll? Does it have to do with each individual cluster or is it something I have to set within dx4win. By the way, to all who responded to my multiple posts yesterday the problem continued until I unsubscribed from the dx4win reflector and resubscribed. The problem has been resolved. Thanks to all who responded. 73s john-n3drk From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jun 19 09:06:36 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Sun Jun 19 09:07:38 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] Isle of Rockall - IOTA EU-189 Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Isle of Rockall, IOTA EU-189 was activated last week for the first time. [Dx4win] R750 prefix - Kaliningrad
Another change in the upcoming country file. A couple have already been spotted: R750KE and R750Y The Ohio/Penn DX PacketCluster DX Bulletin No. 714 June 20, 2005 R750/RK2/UA2, KALININGRAD (Special Activity/Event/Prefix). Victor, UA2FM, RK2FWA Trustee, wants to remind everyone that from June 20th to July 20th, UA2 hams will be active with a R750 prefix celebrating the 750th anniversary of Konigsberg - Kaliningrad. He mentions that this month is a great opporunity to get their awards without QSL cards. Please, see the rules at the following Web sites. (Don't be confused with the cyrillic letters, move your cursor down, the English text is also there.): Kaliningrad - Koenigsberg 750: http://www.qrz.ru/awards/detail/948.html Kaliningrad Districts Award: http://www.qrz.ru/awards/detail/37.html Most of the callsigns are suffix based, but some may be different. Please, do not send cards via Box 88 Moscow, since they do not cooperate with the SRR QSL bureau. Use the UA2 QSL Bureau address instead: UA2 QSL Bureau, ROSTO Technical School, ul.Ozernaya 31, Kaliningrad, 236029 Russia. Otherwise follow the operator's QSL instructions. Also, look for the UA2 Contest Club station, RK2FWA (aka RW2F), to be active signing R750KG during the above dates. Please, see QRZ.com for QSL info, or use the above bureau address.
