Re: [Dx4win] Printing labels of one group
Dear Group: With a couple of helpful suggestions from Jim AD1C, I was eventually able to print labels just for one Group. It is not a simple procedure. Here is a copy of what I think eventually worked. - Steps needed to effect printing labels for QSOs of one group that has Y in Label: 1. File | Preferences Personal tab Set User Level = Expert File | Save Changes and Exit 2. Filter | Edit Group Names cycle Add to get the numbers of all groups that might be of interest to show OK 3. Filter | Selection In Current Selection type a name for the group of interest Add In Group Name find the number of the group of interest and double-click Check the Group Filter box Click Update OK 4. QSLs | Print QSL Labels only QSOs in the desired group that have Y in Label will have labels printed 5. Filter | Selection Select: All QSOs -- It is expected that this will help others. 73, Mac N8TT J. McLaughlin; Michigan, USA Home: j...@power-net.net - Original Message - From: J. C. Re: [Dx4win] Printing labels of one group
Also don't forget that you can write %% under lab/rep (filepreferences). This will print groupname. If i print labels and not direct on cards I don't make selections at all. I have written @@...73 de %% under lab/rep My groups are like 1=sv1dpi, 2=sx2004d 3=sx25dpi, etc. So dx4win will print something like this Jim Pse QSL... 73 de SX25DPI 73 and GL Kostas SV1DPI... and for the next 2 months SX25DPI also... celebrating 25 anniversary of RAWWG(SZ1A) club. Create a Selection for the group: In the QSO window, Filter | Selection In the box that says Current selection type the name of the group, or something else you can remember. Then click the Add button. Scroll down where it says Group name and double-click on the group number. Click on the Update button This should filter your log to ONLY QSOs with that group. When you are done, make sure to set Current selection to All QSOs 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Trouble adding new QSO
Haven't entered a new QSO for a couple of weeks, but went to enter a new one today and couldn't complete the mode or band. These were grayed out. I had to enter the QSO offline and that worked okay. Anyone have an idea how to correct this? Using v7.02.15. First time I've ever had a problem with this software. Re: [Dx4win] Trouble adding new QSO
Hi Jerry, Those would be grayed-out if you are set up for radio control of mode/frequency. 73 - Jim AD1C On Thu, Aug 26, 2010 at 12:48 PM, Jerry g...@uneedspeed.net wrote: Haven't entered a new QSO for a couple of weeks, but went to enter a new one today and couldn't complete the mode or band. [Dx4win] Mode/Band Grayed Out
Hi All: Earlier I posted an inquiry about my Mode/Band being grayed out when I attempted to enter a QSO. Turns out it was my cockpit error and not DX4WIN. I had my old rig turned on but was attempting to enter a QSO just made on my new rig (it was offline from the computer). I found I could enter the QSO in the offline mode anyway. Turns out I had forgotten that the logger automatically enters the Mode/Band when the rig is online! My bad! Tnx for the assistance from Jim, AD1C. [Dx4win] Using Steppir with DX4WIN
I am getting ready to order a Steppir yagi but want to make sure I order the correct cables. I use both DX4WIN and N1MM for logging. DX4WIN has built in support for controlling Steppir antennas. The documentation indicates that I can continue to use COM1 to connect my pc to my K3 and then I can use another com port (in my case COM5) to connect my pc to the Data/In port on the SDA100 controller. With this setup, DX4WIN will apparently poll the K3 and pass the TX frequency automatically to the SDA100 controller whenever the TX frequency changes. Does this cabling scheme sound right? Is this approach better than using a Y cable and having the SDA controller listen for any frequency exchanges between the pc and the K3? I am also wondering whether or not N1MM can support Steppir in the same way. Thanks in advance for the assistance.
