There is one very important thing I forgot to mention During this transition time (starting 10/10/10 but before ARRL announces entity changes), if you have logged any of the new PJ entities, do NOT, I repeat do NOT try to export and upload your log to eQSL or LoTW The ADIF country IDs in the country file are made up. They will NOT be correct until there is official word from ARRL regarding what the new entities are, and which ADIF country IDs are assigned to them. I assume that if you try to sign your log using the TQSL program, it will give errors for these QSOs. So just be patient, this will all be fixed in due time. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Dx4win] multiple own callsigns, groups
Hello, I am Reading the manuals but couldn´t find clear how to add my QSO´s merged from my calls CX6VM, CX5X, CW6V, CW5W. 1) May I have a log with ALL QSO´s and there´s a field to identify wich own call I used to work each station? 2) The groups is used to for example establish a contest name for the QSO´s? I did contests with N1MM or Win-Test. It´s possible to import in DX4WIN the log of the contest ad tell DX4WIN that I used CW5W and to add the contest name (for example ARRL CW 2010) to all this QSO´s? 3) Is allowed to add station preferences, for example radio used for this QSO, if LP or HP, if short or long path, in afile, so I will see this information in my logbook windows? Re: [Dx4win] MMTTY Function Key Messages
I've added Larry's comments to the bottom of this web page: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/mmtty.htm Thanks for the insight! 73 - Jim AD1C At 02:32 AM 9/20/2010, Larry Gauthier \(K8UT\) wrote: The macro definitions for CW, PSK31, and RTTY modes are all contained within your save\DX4WIN.CFG file, which cannot be edited off-line. {well, not unless someone has written an editor to read/write the CFG file} However, there is a work-around for editable macros. Aside from the short, non-changing macros like MyCall, ReplyCQ and EndQSO (which I never change), I created a subdirectory named dx4w804\macros, and within that subdirectory I placed text files with long or often-edited macros - names like FL_CW_bragsheet.txt and FK_RTTY_intro.txt and FK_PSK_callcq.txt. Then, in the CFG macro definitions, I call those text files with the corresponding macro string: i.e. Intro|%f..\macros\FK_RTTY_Intro% It's a bit of a kludge, but has worked for me for many years. I suppose if you really wanted to, you could divert EVERY function key as FK_RTTY_F1.txt and FK_RTTY_F2.txt... and direct every macro to an external file. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] E2E
Something I saw on another reflector... E2E has been approved for contests/DXpeditions for use by RASThailand members. It will appear in the upcoming contests. Can you pse notify everyone of this fact and try to get E2E into the logging programs, too. E2E likely will get locked up in some logging programs or cause other misunderstanding if the ham community does not know of it before contacts with it, of course. I'm adding it here for Jim-AD1C's information...
