[Dx4win] PJ4

2010-10-11 Thread george
Did I read somewhere that we should not be up-loading our PJ contacts to
LOTW until everything gets sorted out? If so when can this be done?

Yes, George, you read it here. Please wait until the ARRL makes an
official announcement and I have published a new country file (which
could happen this week). The reason is that ARRL has NOT announced
official ADIF country IDs, and if you try to upload your contacts,
LoTW may think they are the wrong DXCC entity (I had to make up
numbers to satisfy DX4WIN).

There is no rush, as ARRL is not accepting any of these for DXCC
credit until 1 January 2011.

Dave, I chose NOT to fill in the IOTA field for all but PJ2, in case
the RSGB changes them.  I thought it would be better to have no data
than wrong data.  I sent a message to RSGB over the weekend asking
about any potential IOTA changes, still waiting for a response.

PJ7 used to be two different IOTA (one for PJ7, the other for PJ5/6),
not one, but it's probably safe to say it's the same as Martinique,
i.e. NA-107.  I should have put this one into the first country file,
but I hope there will be enough information to fix it in the end.

Sorry, PJ7 is likely to be NA-105, same island as French St. Martin
(not Martinique). PJ5 and PJ6 is/were NA-145; I don't know if that

[Dx4win] New entities

2010-10-11 Thread F6EXV Paul
  Hello all
After installing the latest version of the country file, and merging
with my old one, I find that for example a QSO with PJ2MI in 1992 is
still counted for the new entity of Curacao, and a QSO with PJ0J in
1987 is still counted for the new entity of St Maarten.
It looks like the callsign mapping does not consider the start date of
the (potential) new entities when callsigns are imported.
Is this a bug, or have I done something wrong ?
Thanks + 73

PJ2MI - PJ2/D

Think you may have done something wrong

Merging new CTY into old CTY does not work.

Merging old CTY into new CTY does work, but it means more file moving/copying.

The web page is not clear on this. See:

PJ7 has to be NA105 as it is the same physical piece of land as FS, French
St Martin which is NA105.

2010-10-11 Thread F6EXV Paul
  Hi all
I believe I did it right (merging the old into the new).
The calls other than PJ0J and PJ2MI are treated correctly though, so I
just changed the entity for these 2 calls, adding a /D in the prefix box.
Looks like my stats are now correct.
