[Dx4win] Old Problem Back

2011-03-09 Thread Ed Kuebert
Initially when I upgraded from 8.04 to 8.05 I had a problem with the DXCC
reports function. Regardless of which boxes I checked in the confirmation part
of the awards set up, the summary function included both QSL cards and LOTW
data. I only want the QSL card information. This enables me to see spots
highlighted for band/mode/countries I have worked but have no QSL I suspect
that there is something in my log file that causes this. because if I start
from scratch with a blank log and import (ADIF) the log data, everything seems
to work for a while, but all my prior confirmation data is lost.

If I export and reimport a DX4WIN file the problem remains. I thought possibly
I had a conflict in the ini file so I tried a blank ini file, but the problem
remains. I have also tried reinstalling dx4win from scratch and using to the
old log file, but the problem remains. At this point I really do not know what
to do to resolve this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

File | Awards

Select DXCC tab

In Confirmation box in upper-left, you want only QSL Card checked.

[Dx4win] Label printing question

2011-03-09 Thread Bill Barr, N4NX
I Notice that a lot of QSL managers use DX4win to print labels for outgoing
QSLs--I do for PJ6A. Many of their labels are formatted as follows:

XV2A confirms QSO [s] with N4NX

I haven't seen or read how you modify the Call Sign top line to look like that.
 Can anyone help?

Thanks

[Dx4win] IOTA report

2011-03-09 Thread Bill Barr, N4NX
This is my day for questions. Hope I can get by with two today.

In a previous version of DX4win I know that I used to get an IOTA report
option that would display ( Print) a list of confirmed or worked IOTAs with
the station call, band, etc. If I had the IOTA worked to multiple calls it
would just pick only one to call to display. I guess it might have picked the
first time it was worked. Am I dreaming? If not how can that be done with the
current version?

Thanks

Assuming you mean 8.0x:

Reports. Pick the IOTA Award. Then below that, pick Listing or Listing Worked.

Bill

Or do as Jim Said, but Select the Submission report from the drop down list
- That shows all entities confirmed, that count towards your award AND
moves them in your log to submitted !!

All you then need to do is copy that detail onto the IOTA web site
submission, dig your cards out, and away you go !

I have upgraded from 804 to 805. For some reason I keep getting a Window
open up that is titled Talk Messages and Announcements. Is there anyway to

If you had merged your preferences from 8.04, this should not have happened.

File | Preferences
Packet1 tab
See Warning messages You probably want Ignore
