[Dx4win] Removing a Bad Prefix
ReportsWPXLISTING: 2D0 is listed as confirmed C for both Mixed and Phone. When I click on either C I get a message saying: No matching QSO found How do I fix this problem? I diagnosed Bud's problem after he sent me his log. The 2D0 QSO in his log is confirmed only by eQSL, not paper QSL. The WPX listing sees the QSO as confirmed (as it should), but filtering the QSO by double-clicking on the 'C' in the listing does not work. I did a similar experiment with a DXCC listing, using a DXCC confirmation that was only confirmed via LoTW, and the filter was able to find the confirmed QSO without any problem. So the problem that Bud saw is either in the WPX module, or something having to do with eQSL confirmations. Paul will have to determine which it is. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN.AWD award database release 3.17 - 4 July 2011 (resend)
I was working with Bob WA8VPN this afternoon to find out why the update didn't work for him. He's running 7.02, and when he started DX4WIN, there was an exception pop-up that reported a duplicate award value, Nam-ku (B17), and DX4WIN was left in Demo mode. No one else has reported this, but it's easy to fix. Open your DX4W###\SAVE\DX4WIN.AWD file using Wordpad (*not* Microsoft Word), and find this line (it's line #104,482, you can search (control-F) for [KDN]: ; the name to prevent duplication, i.e. B17=Nam-ku (B17) Delete the line and save the file. I don't know why this causes a problem, since the award value is inside a comment. Bob saw the problem on one PC running 7.02, but a second PC did not demonstrate the problem. The next release of the award database will have a permanent fix for this problem. 73 - Jim AD1C On Mon, Jul 4, 2011 at 8:30 AM, Jim Reisert AD1C jjreis...@alum.mit.edu wrote: [Corrected link to DX4WIN Data Updater] I have updated the DX4WIN.AWD file. [Dx4win] Lost Stay-Alive
I very recently installed the updates to the DX4WIN.xx files, such as .awd, .mas2, etc and noted that dx4win.tcp had been updated--my preferred telnet selectio (ve7cc-1) was no longer at the top of the list, until I logged in with it. I then noticed, after logging in to VE7CC-1 with CCUser, Stay Alive appeared to have gone dysfunctional. The VE7CC cluster now disconnects me after a very short period of inactivity. Finally, I noticed that, in logging into VE7CC, it now required my callsign, whereas previously it knew my callsign and took me directly to the command prompt. What happened, and how do I restore the previous condition of almost unbroken connection to the Cluster? I am using DX4WIN 8.04 and CCuser 2.9371. Re: [Dx4win] Lost Stay-Alive
You should select Local for connecting via ve7cc program. Selecting ve7cc you connect to ve7cc node direct from dx4win. 73 Kostas SV1DPI - Original Message - From: Garry Shapiro ga...@ni6t.com To: DX4WIN Reflector dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Friday, July 08, 2011 5:19 AM Subject: [Dx4win] Lost Stay-Alive I very recently installed the updates to the DX4WIN.xx files, such as .awd, .mas2, etc and noted that dx4win.tcp had been updated--my preferred telnet selectio (ve7cc-1) was no longer at the top of the list, until I logged in with it.
