[Dx4win] anyone notice frequency change?
I'm using DX4WIN, the latest version, and a Kenwood TS-990. The 990 is connected to my computer and controlled by DX4WIN. I notice that when I click on a spot and have the TX MSG invoked to send what is in one of the memories by pushing the TX then CH1-6 button the mode and or split does not change when clicking on a spot? If I am not in the memory transmit mode all works fine. Is this a function of the 990 locking out the B VFO frequency change and AB mode change? Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks. [Dx4win] colors for packet spots gone and country window issue!
Hi, Some bad RFI in the shack wiped out settings on DX4WIN. Now, all of the dx packet spots are grey. can't figure this out. I'm in expert mode, and all bands (160m to 6m) are checked off. Also, my 'Country' window is screwed up. I get a Fixed column count must be less than column count message. The country window just shows one blank cell in the upper left of the window... Any suggestions? Re: [Dx4win] Can't edit a call
There is a little quirk to DX4WIN that when you change a callsign you must hit F10 or scan down the QSO tab to UPDATE QSO. Hitting ENTER or RETURN won't save the new callsign like it will for other changes. Like you I made mistakes in my WriteLog CQWWDX SSB log. Think I copied OK but typed call wrong. But was surprised how many DX stations copied me wrong. Some of the big gun DX stations have such a fast rate it's no surprise they bust calls. -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Mike Tessmer Sent: Tuesday, April 08, 2014 12:09 PM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Can't edit a call Howdy! Got my UBN report from CQWW SSB. Trying to edit a handful of busted calls that showed up in the report, so they show correctly in DX4WIN. The first couple went just as expected. Then I get to EZ7ZK which I somehow fat-fingered into the log instead of the correct EC7ZK. I change the EZ to EC and tab over to verify that correct country, zone, etc., is filled in, but when I hit enter to save the changes nothing happens. Once again, all other edits work just fine. What am I missing on this particular QSO? Re: [Dx4win] U.S Counties VA
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. It is confusing because the actual city of St. Louis is the County of St. Louis. The suburbs are St. Louis County. At least that is how the tax structure is set up and the City Stickers a sort of additional registration fee for city residents is set up. If you live within the city you have to purchase and display a little decal on your windshield. I notice the DX4WIN Mo F1 list shows MO95 for St. Louis County (the suburbs) and MO96 for St. Louis City, (the city itself). So St. Louis, MO, is not an independent city, it is an actual county that is named in a confusing manner but is correctly listed by DX4WIN as a separate county. I was born inside the city limits and my birth certificate shows St. Louis in the county block. If I had been born in the suburbs it would say St. Louis County. 73, Alan, K7ACZ -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Art - W6KY Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2014 6:26 PM To: John 5B4AHK; DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] U.S Counties VA There are 41 independent cities in the USA, 38 are in VA.
