[Dx4win] SOTA Report Mixed with US Islands
DX4WIN 9.0.9.1259 I am finally getting around to analyzing my SOTA contacts. I've gone in and made sure I have the summits accounted for in each QSO under Custom Awards and Values. When I go into Reports / Custom / SOTA and then select Submission I get a list or two summits and 206 US Islands. When I do the same submission report for US Islands, I get the same list. 2 Summits and 206 islands. When I do a SOTA report for Listing Worked I get 14 summits back. Most of the time I record the SOTA value in the "Notes for this QSO" cell. In the process of putting the summits in the custom awards, I would select SOTA then click into the Value cell. DX4WIN would take several seconds and 2 or 3 tries before the cursor would show in the cell and the main window would flash. Eventually I could select the value and save the QSO. Re: [Dx4win] Registered user DX4Win
Windows Vista and later have special file protection policies around the C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) directories. If a program is installed there and you try to modify its files (like updating DX4WIN), those files will either be reverted or deleted. The suggested installation path is C:\dx4w903 or something like that. That is what you should have used. Or anywhere else except the aforementioned directories. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Now all is ok. Noel, did you originally install DX4WIN under C:\Program Files (x86). That will not work. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , https://ad1c.us __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
