[Dx4win] FW: [DX4WIN] On-line DXCC Application is up
With all of you getting DXCC confirmations so quick, it makes me wonder what happened to my last application. I did a LoTW application on line and sent in cards to ARRL the same date, January 17, 2012. That is 11 weeks ago and no confirmation to date. I am wondering what is the best way to get cards confirmed with the new rules. My closest checker is 80 miles from me according to the ARRL web page. Dick KS0M Richard C. There is no longer an option to have cards checked as a hybrid. The final pages of the process are simpler. I just submitted last night for my 12M DXCC (and a pile of band countries) and it is already showing as completed. Very fast now. 73 Loren __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Dick KS0M Dick, According to the DXCC Applications Received page, your application was received at the DXCC desk on March 5th, so it's only been 4 weeks since they received it. http://www.arrl.org/dxcc-applications-received I can't explain why the long delay through the mail, but that's when it was logged in at HQ. 73, -Rick -- Rick Murphy, CISSP-ISSAP, K1MU/4, Annandale VA USA __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Thanks Rick. I forgot to look at that site. Thanks for calling it to my attention. I have the post office receipt and a note when I sent the cards and the LoTW application. Both were sent on 17 January 2012. I guess it will remain a mystery :-) Dick KS0M Richard C. Jim, I actually received a one hour turnaround today! I submitted my Lotw-only application just before noon and it was processed by the time I got back from lunch! Re: [Dx4win] FW: [DX4WIN] On-line DXCC Application is up
03 April: LOTW only. 105 claimed credits. About 15 minutes from submitting application (DXCC) to being able to see changes in my band/mode totals and to print out new adjusted awards list totals. I believe its an automatic, no human interface system. It is surprising to see old QSOs being confirmed on LOTW. I had several from 5+ years ago that came up today that did not pop up on 01 March 2012. A few folks are going back to much old logs and inputting that old log data. I have had a few confirmations from 20+ years ago via LOTW. I have some QSLs to confirm QSOs for band/entity but must go through HQ; includes a few deleted entities and 160M QSO/QSLs. That would rule out the On-Line system that requires field checking of QSLs, not in a rush so I will keep collecting more QSLs and let the HQ backlog decrease. I believe the 3 systems will now contribute to reduced processing times for the slower methods. This can only be an improvement for us. Hq needs a THANKYOU from those of us out here.
