Re: [Dx4win] Labels
Thanks for the input Mark, Paul suggested that the problem might be related to the printer, and he was 100% correct. The black ink cartridge had a bad connection. I tried printing from a word processor and I had the same problem. I went to a different printer and all was okay. I should have known my problem was not Dx4Win, it never is. Usually I do something dumb. I have been using Dx4Win for around 15 years and it is the most stable program I have ever used. Paul has a lot to be proud of. It is a known bug that RST width is bigger than it should be when you print labels. As I know Paul has already corrected it and we are waiting the new version. Re: [Dx4win] Labels
I had same problem long time ago. I remember it was an easy fix, I think as follows; Open DX4WIN and bring up QSO box, click on labels, click on print qsl labels, click on edit. Brings up the label editor. If dimensions are greyed out clock on copy. Adjust dimensions and labels per sheet to fit page. If you are using 8160 labels I can give you dimensions I'm using if you need them. Think that's what I did. Long time ago, hope it works for you. 73, de Mike, WM5DX. Re: [Dx4win] Labels
Dimension of the label is too big. Printer can not print there. This is why you have partial printing. You should play a little with the label height. Remember that vert Pitch says to printer how far is the top of the first label from the top of the next one. I think you should use smaller numbers for the label height keeping probably the vert pitch. 73 Kostas SV1DPI - Original Message - From: W9RPM j...@w9rpm.com To: Thomas Cannon tom.g0...@ntlworld.com; DX4WIN dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Wednesday, November 09, 2011 1:39 AM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Labels Tom, well I hope that we can find out from someone. [Dx4win] Labels without manager
Bon jour, Paul, As a work-around, export your DX4WIN QSL manager database to a file (Files - Databases - Managers). SAVE THIS FILE somewhere, and copy it to a different name (so you can re-import it later). Now edit the exported file by removing all but the first line. Import this new manager file into DX4WIN (make sure to select delete existing managers). This will effectively remove all your QSL managers, except for one. Now the labels will come out in the right order. When you are done, import the full list of QSL managers back into DX4WIN. 73 - Jim AD1C --- Paul F6EXV [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Since many stations worked during my latest expedition will be requesting their cards directly, not through their managers when they have one, I have decided not to print the manager on the labels. Paul, If the text prints down a little more on each label, the size of the label is incorrect. Try to measure how much it is off on the last label, divide that distance by the number of labels and add that number to the vertical label size. Vertical shift is how much the whole page is shifted downwards. This allows you to center the labels in a vertical direction. Also check if there is a more recent printer driver for your printer. I have seen a number of problems go away after installing a more recent driver. --Paul Paul van der Eijk (KK4HD) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.dx4win.com
