Just for the record, I uninstalled the lpt driver as you suggested. I then
reinstalled it under 8.04. However, it prompted me to install the driver in
the dx4w803\lptdriver folder -- which would have put it right back in the
folder that I had just uninstalled. So I merely typed in a new directory
and selected the main dx4w804 directory under Program Files. Works fine.
Your emails about deleting older versions prompted me to do just that
yesterday. I also upgraded to 8.04 without a hitch.
BTW, nice working you in the NAQP yesterday.

One thing to add (based on an experience I just had trying to remove 8.03):
In DX4WIN 8.0x, first uninstall the LPT driver by going into the:
dx4w803\lptdriver
directory and running unins000.exe.
Then uninstall that version of DX4WIN. Otherwise, the lptdriver
directory won't be removed.
You will need to run the lptdriver installation again with your most
recent version of DX4WIN if you need it.

The installation process for new versions does not touch the older ones.
1. Use the usual Windows Control Panel Add/Remove programs icon to
uninstall them (in Vista/Win7, I believe it's just called Programs).

2. Go into each DX4W### directory you want to remove and double-click
on the unins000.exe application.
