VUCC is an ARRL award. It was created in 1983 (?) for the VHF bands
only. Maybe the HF band selection boxes shouldn't be there. But it
also is not meant for, and should not be used to track HF grids, for
which there is no award offered by ARRL.

2019-07-09 Thread Len K1NU
Thanks Jim, I was hoping the answer was different... In that case, the VUCC
Grid awards tab shouldn’t even have checkboxes for 160-10m :)

Seems like a waste to me to have implemented the VUCC Grid award and not allow
it to track all bands. For every other award, the user gets to define the
valid bands and the award bands, why not for this? :-)

I guess D4W users couldn’t use it to track the 2018 Grid Challenge, then...

Re: [Dx4win] VUCC Grid award problems

2019-07-09 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Len, there are two grid awards:

The CQ DX Field award is for the first 2 letters only. It is for at
least the HF bands, maybe others too.

The VUCC award is the VHF/UHF Century Club. Separate awards for each
band starting at 6 meters. Selecting lower bands won't work.
