Hi Donald. I have to disagree. I hate the autocomplete feature of IE because
it's a security risk IMO (it wants to autocomplete passphrases). I think that it's
not worth the risk to make the feature work, and in addition to risking e-gold
passphrases it tend to make folks more able to forget them, with additional
customer-service headaches on the e-gold Ltd. end of things. :(

I hope that in the future a workable compromise can be reached that gives
the convenience you want with the passphrase security we all need to keep
foremost in mind for less-expert users than you folks. Thanks.

I've never seen IE try to complete a passphrase. IE will autocomplete the
account number, but that's all. The passphrase is in a 'password' type of
box, and IE won't fill the blank in there.

Yeah. What Craig said, too. :-)

Perhaps you misunderstood. I'm not asking to autocomplete userids and
passphrases. I'm talking about filling out what used to be called an
outexchange. This used to be done by e-gold but is now done by OmniPay, et
al. However, I am given to understand that GS&R runs OmniPay as well as
e-gold. (If I am misdirecting these comments, please tell me where to send
them.) The problem is that, in order to have OmniPay send a check, the user
has to enter the name, mailing address, zip code, and account number, any
one of which can cause the check to be misrouted. (This has happened to me.
An incorrect acct number on a check to the phone company caused the check to
be cashed and, apparently, credited to someone else's account, since I ended
up sending the phone company a second check.) I urge you to reconsider your
disagreement.

Hmmm. Maybe it depends on the flavor/version of IE, but customer service
experience says that auto fill in programs of *any* kind (and some, including
"Gator," most definitely fill in e-gold passphrases) are bad news. Just MHO.

Ah, I misunderstood, my objections apply only to security fields. I'm not a
developer, so I can't comment on what any future versions of OmniPay
service may have in them, but it's probably safe to say that developers
have seen your words, and I'd agree that especially with bills I pay twelve
times a year some automation may be nice. Thanks for your comments.

Hello Donald and all other users,

From what I'm hearing here, you all should love Pay By Gold's next system release.
You will have the ability to Open a Pay By Gold account. Upload a spreadsheet file
that has all of your payment information onto our server. From then all you have to
do is log in... select which payments you want to send... click us the sum of the
payments in e-gold and everything else is taken care of. Did I mention that there was
going to be no fee for the service?
