It needs some time ;-) but now I did it: I made an upgrade to ekiga
4.0.0.1 (on debian sid now) and: it works without any problem! No change
in configuration or anything else was necessary.

Same exact problem here. Running Xubuntu 64 bit ver 12.10.

When I try to run ekiga, I get a system crash-even before I try to do

So, glad that 3.2.7 works for you :)

If sometime in the future you need to use 4.0.0 (or later), the simplest

No, I didn't try to call ppl while running Ekiga via -d 4. I was just trying to make outbound calls after Ekiga is opening automatically

I don't know those two addresses. I'm using the same settings and router as always and my girlfriend is using her own
laptop on the same wireless network.

There is something fishy here. In 3.2.7 log network detection detects
an address (120.28.176.142) different than in 4.0.0 (180.190.15.16). Do
you know why and what are those two addresses?

You want to say that when using 3.2.7 with -d 4 to generate this log,
finally it registered but people cannot hear you, is that right?
