If BT means British Telecom, perhaps your "BT Home Hub" is really a
Technicolor/Thomson modem ? This kind of hardware needs specific settings
for you to use SIP softphones, but all these settings maybe are only
possible if the firmware is a complete firmware rather than a "castrated"
one. The most important of these settings is transforming symmetric NAT to
Cone Nat, another one is to disable SIP ALG, but there is still another one
I have to remember about STUN.

Do you have telnet access to your Home Hub ?
Do you have ftp access to your Home Hub ?
Assuming you have http access to it, using the appropriate menu, please
backup its configuration and say us if this backup is a human readable file.

To create a diamondcard account in ekiga, the way i used was Edition ->

this because now i use Ekiga 3.0 in his french version.)

Lastly, i made un succes of installing ptlib, opal and ekiga *last* snapshots.

The only difficulty was to configure ekiga. I had simply to use:
$ PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig ./configure
after autogen.sh

Then, when i tried to run ekiga, i got an error about non-existing file or
directory libopal_linux_x86_r.so.2.3-beta1. I solved this by putting a
symlink from /usr/local/lib/libopal_linux_x86_r.so.2.3-beta1 to
/usr/lib/libopal_linux_x86_r.so.2.3-beta1

Same thing with libpt_linux_x86_r.so.2.3-beta1.

Now, ekiga works. :-)

[Ekiga-list] Bluetooth headset: My wish

This one works perfectly with a lot of sound applications in Hi-Fi mode and
it works also very well in voice mode (sco) with aplay/arecord and... Skype
! (I had only to choose "bluetooth" as ALSA device in skype configuration.)
But not any other softphone that i know: Twinkle, Wengophone, Linphone,
Kphone, Gizmo, XLite, nor my dear Ekiga. With gconf-editor i write
"bluetooth" as input and output devices but Ekiga arase this with "default".

[Ekiga-list] cannot use my Wengo account

Hello,
I beg your pardon for my poor english, i am french.
For several monthes, il did use my Wengo account to call landline
subscribers with Ekiga 2.0.9 on Mandriva 2007.1. It worked very fine since i
discovered the right value for outbound proxy: 213.91.9.210. This ip is, i
think, the one of a test Wengo's server, and is not the official url
recommended by Wengo, (voip.wengo.fr) but it was the only one that worked
for me.
Unfortunatly, since december 6, this Ekiga's configuration doesn't work any
more. The error message in Ekiga when y try to register is "L'inscription a
echoue : Delai Depasse".
Same behavior with Ekiga 2.0.11 on Mandriva 2008.0.
Twinkle did and does work with the official url, I use it successfully.
I know how to record streams with wireshark. Is there here anybody who could
analyse a record and, perhaps, find a patch for Ekiga ?
I already talked about this problem in a more detailed way here, but it
seems to me there is no more development stuff to help users at Wengo:
