Re: [Elecraft] 1500w K2/10?
If there are worries about connecting the relay control circuits together, one can put a diode in series with each one (anode toward the amplifier). Connect the cathodes together and ground them to key the amplifiers. 73, Victor, 4X6GP Rehovot, Israel Formerly K2VCO CWops no. 5 http://www.qsl.net/k2vco/ On 21/12/2022 22:15, j...@kk9a.com wrote: I think this only works if one of the amps is off. I you want to use both amps simultaneously to obtain 1.5KW, there may be an issue with the two relay voltage sources. If the keying circuits of the amps in question are to a logic input, the current draw is quite small. That is true of both Elecraft and Ten Tec amps. It's also true of most (all?) Alpha amps, many of which were designed by K4XU, who designed the Ten Tec 425 (the original Titan). In the late-'70s vintage 425, it's the base of a transistor. 73, Jim K9YC __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com

Three problem is going to be that 10w isn't enough too driver the KPA1500 to anywhere near full output 73, Dave AF6A > > On Dec 21, 2022 at 11:13 AM, mailto:j...@audiosystemsgroup.com)> > wrote: > > > > On 12/21/2022 5:46 AM, eric norris via Elecraft wrote: > he KXPA100 MANUAL > SHOWS THE ability to use a Y rca keyline cable, one end going to a kxpa100, > the other going to an external amp, in my case a kpa1500. > Will this work? > Sure, as long as both amps use the same logic for keying. [Elecraft] 1500w K2/10?
The KXPA100 MANUAL SHOWS THE ability to use a Y rca keyline cable, one end going to a kxpa100, the other going to an external amp, in my case a kpa1500. Will this work?
