[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report
Good Evening, My "new" antenna worked very well. More noise, which was expected, and more contacts, which was gratifying. I built the dipole from recycled antennas. Most of my antennas fail at the feed point due to limbs bending under heavy snow loads. Others fail due to limbs flying in the wind. In any case I build up a stock of 1/4 wavelength wires for 20 and 40 meters. In the last year I built a 1/4 vertical with 20 1/4 wavelength radials, an inverted Y for 40 meters, as well as the most recent 20 meter dipole. I have a few more lengths of wire plus the fixings for a 40 meter resonant flat topped dipole. Please join us on 3784 kHz (NOTE THE NEW FREQUENCY), 9PM ET Sunday (0100Z Monday). Note that the net stays on the same local time, when we switch back and forth to/from Daylight time, so the UTC time changes, but not the local time.
