This coming Sunday night is the April 2024 extra special edition of the Run For The Bacon - the W8DIZ Memorial Sprint. On the air with us will several W8PIG/# stations from various call sign areas to honor the memory of our Founder, Diz W8DIZ. Pete I had not read about your KPA1500 issue until now. I can relate with the same problem. Very frustrating but maybe now a solution. Thanks for the follow up! Readers may recall that I had been asking for help with an intermittent problem causing my KPA-1500 to trip due to high SWR. It would happen 3-4 times in 10 minutes and then not happen again for hours. A couple of weeks ago, a local KPA-1500 owner suggested that the problem was due to a timing error in the T/R switching of the 1500, and suggested I address this by reverting to version 2.58 firmware instead of the latest release. I did so, and since then I have had not a single recurrence. As Rick said; Go into config MENU KRX3, set it to BNC or ATU depending on how the rear antenna coax is cabled, then exit the menu and cycle power.
