[Elecraft] Fwd: Elecraft K2 serial number 7699
Hi, I received a replacement variable inductor (L30) from Elecraft, very speedy delivery. The original was definitely faulty, the replacement now allows me to alter the voltage at R30 but not getting the required 6 volts, only get to 4.6 volts. Any ideas? Hi, Thanks to everyone that sent suggestions regarding my broken K2/10. I tried all suggestions but still broken, I did find that the frequency probe was broken though. The probe is now fixed and have been able to go through the alignment steps from the manual. I got as far as the VCO alignment step. I was not able to get the 6 volts on R30. Adjusting the slug in L30 only resulted in a range of approx. 2.5 – 4.5 volts. To recap the events that led to the failure, the transceiver was working fine until I noticed that the power out on my external watt meter was about 50% higher than I set the power to. I was in the process of calibrating the internal ATU when the power cut out and left the K2 in this state. Any suggestions? Is there a service and repair facility for Elecraft rigs in the UK? [Elecraft] K2/10 problem
Hi, I found that the actual power out did not match my setting, eg. I set 10 watts but power meter reads 14 Watts. Simple to calibrate the auto ATU or so I thought. While adjusting the 2 pots on the ATU the rig suddenly powered down. When I switched it back on the RX was not working, I followed the alignment procedure and it seems that the BFO is dead. Ie. In CAL FIL the BFO reading is all zeroes Any ideas? Hi, I have recently acquired an Elecraft K2/10, it is an early model, serial Nr. 00739. I am looking for a manual specific to that early model or at least the re-alignment instructions. The transceiver is in very good condition but appears a little deaf. I have the following options fitted.
