[Elecraft] Old Style Sub Receiver Wanted
Hi looking to fit the old type of Sub Receiver in my K3, however Elekraft don't have any they only have the new ones left. Does anyone have an old style K3 sub receiver and synth card for sale? If so please drop me a line. The fitting instructions would be good also. [Elecraft] Upgrading K3
Hi I am looking to upgrade my K3 with a sun receiver, to do this am I correct in assuming that the new part will come as per K3S spec? if this is the case do I then have too upgrade the existing with the new K3S synthesiser card also? [Elecraft] G0TZZ ...HI CUR on 20 30Meters. Help??
Below is the message I posted at the end of July i have since discovered during a re calibration that I have exactly the same problem on 30 meters 10Megs. Looks like the M3 is slowly keeling over on me. Hi, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to cure the problem that has manifested itself on my K3. When I TX using more than 11 Watts on 20metres shows HI CUR on the display. When I TX using more than 20 Watts on 20 Metres the display shows HI CUR for a second or two the the rig switches itself off. I have tried 2 different antennas and a DUMMY load and the results are always the same. I have tried both antenna connectors, I have also checked the power supply and it is feeding 13V into the rig. I do have the internal antenna tuner fitted, When I tune on 20 metres I do not get the SWR reading at the top of the display. All I get is -- at the top and 5.0 W at the bottom with reference to tuning. With the internal ATU bypassed I get exactly the same problem on 20 only HI CUR and switches off. [Elecraft] PSK Problem
Hi All, have been having problems with PSK on my K3. I am using a Microham2 Keyer into the K3 via the D connector and appropriate connections on the K3. I cannot TX though as I get no signal to the K3 output. In Test mode with TX flashing on the K3 I see no indication of ALC readings when I adjust the Mic knob when compression and ALC display is shown. When meter is in pwr mode `I see no indication of any power out either. When in normal data TX mode (Not test) I have no indications of alc or power showing on the bar graph either, but the K3 TX red light comes on to indicate TXing. I have no replies to an calls and a colleague who was testing with me did not RX anything from me at all. I can RX fine. All other modes work fine RTTY SSB and CW. [Elecraft] K3 Forcing a Firmware Download
Page 45 of the K3 manual gives me 4 points to Forcing a Firmware Download. I have tried this many times to no avail. The screen stays MCU LD with back light off with the TX Led flashing. No matter what I do nothing changes. I believe the problem may be seeing the Com Port or not seeing it as the case may be. At the moment the K3 is as good as scrap metal any help in bringing it back to its former glory would be most appreciated. [Elecraft] K3 with Microham Keyer 2
Hi all first post on here for me so here goes Just completed the build on my K3 ready for the Club Championships here in the uk. I need to interface my K3 with a Microham Keyer 2 does anyone know of any issues that I am likely to come up against? e.g. Virtual Ports, sound card etc. Look forward to your advice keep it simple for me though please, I am not the most computer or technically minded being.
