Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
Thanks for the input I'm using the suggested iMic which does have a line input and a mic input. I'm beginning to believe that it really is that the radio is not working correctly. I'm going to reach out elecraft directly to see what I can do without sending the radio to them for the fact that I'm using it for my CWA class. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 CW Audio Stereo (Issue)
I found the issue, I had dual RX enabled and when you cross the band for the 2nd VFO it goes into stereo one receive in each ear. I've turned that off and have full stereo in my earphones again with CW. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
I will report back after trying some of the I/Q based softwares out there, however I did try iSDR which is supposed to work with USB sound card, it didn't work. I'll try the windows based program tomorrow and report back. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
I tried with iSDR which is made for iOS, sound card is working, RX I/Q is not from my radio. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] KX3 CW Audio Stereo (Issue)
Last night while operating CWT I ran across a part of the band that changed the "Phones" audio, has anyone else ran across this issue happening at or near 7.035323 to 7.035324 is the frequency that does it for me, all of a sudden I have CW in just one ear instead of two. Thanks for any help that you can provide. Thanks, Kevin F. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
Thanks ALL for the help. I'm still getting zero audio out of RX I/Q and want to make sure that I have done my due diligence trying to figure out the issue. I'll have some adapters on their way later today for the 1/16th inch jack to put headphones on it that way I don't have to trust that my computer isn't dropping the signal from RX I/Q someplace. I'm looking at the hard step next, I haven't recently taken a backup of my radio, a full reset of the entire radio and re-alignment. I'm going to read about the steps before I commit to this however I'm not hearing the RX I/Q and there seems to be something strange happening with the CW RX audio in the 40 meter band that I'm also wondering if a re-alignment would clear up. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
I did check that the RX I/Q was enabled and still hear nothing, on my computer, when plugged in to the RX I/Q port. I'm ordering a set of adapters so that I can put my headphones on the radio directly to see what I hear then. Thanks all for trying to help... I still wonder if I should hear anything with the RX I/Q enabled or not, it would be great if someone could answer that question. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
Re: [Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
Thanks for the prompt reply, I guess the question that I would like to answer is, if I were to plug in to both sides of the RX I/Q port should I hear anything at all? If I shouldn't then great, if I should then I'm going to need to figure out what's going on with my radio such that I can't heard anything at all... -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
[Elecraft] KX3 RX I/Q testing
Does anyone know how to test the RX I/Q signal is coming out of the radio correctly. I used the elecraft cables trying to listen to the signal using my computer and didn't hear anything. I would like to be able to use this output in fldigi for the waterfall. And still be able to listen to CW signals, so that I can use the waterfall to tune the radio correctly. I'm remembering something about quadrature... not really sure. -- Sent from: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/ __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
