Jan 06 ? I'm starting to stash cash NOW. I had the sense that we might be seeing the 800watt KA800 long before that... maybe it will take till then for the larger version. I believe the amp has been in development for a long time. While it's only a 'rumor' and not announced, it looked rather complete to me. bill as far as a picture goes... not exact , but an interpretation. The QRO amp was there operating into a dummy load. He said that it is still in the testing stage but it looked really good. Kind of reminded me of an alpha 87 in size and packaging. He asked that no pictures be taken because the cosmetics were not finalized. Some of the features mentioned were A true SO2R amp with 2 radio inputs (listen on one rig while TX qro on the other at the same time) switched by so2r box or computer software program. 800 watt version with 50 watt drive requirement. a 1500 watt version with just a doubling of the splitter combiner and PA section. Also an external switching power supply for the 1500 watt version. Internal SW PS for 800 watt version Kit and Finished version will be available. Maybe sometime in January 06. I have been hearing stories about this amp since late last year but no one has shown a picture yet. Maybe the folks belonging to the in group are told not to disseminate photos or even allowed to take them. As far as I can tell we will be told the rest of the story late this year. Kevin.
