For Sale: Elecraft KX1 Ultra-Portable CW Transceiver (but will receive SSB
and AM also). I am the original builder and owner of this pristine unit,
which was factory aligned and improved by Don W. and has worked perfectly
ever since. This unit is two bands: 40 and 20, and includes the reversible,
removable CW paddle and the KXAT1 internal ATU. It has always been stored
and protected from scratches inside a Ziploc bag, and I live in a
non-smoking, pet-free home. It’s a great portable rig, but I have a KX3 and
I’ve decided to sell this one, so I’m looking for a good home for it! $450,
via PayPal only, and includes manuals, original correspondence, free
shipping and insurance to CONUS. Batteries not included (6 AA alkalines).

I have newly assembled (January 08 anyway) KX1 For sale with the following 
options:

KXB3080 - 30/80 Meter Module. Four band upgrade.
KXAT1 -Internal Antenna Tuner.
KXPD1 - Paddle.

Radio was checked and adjusted by Elecraft. Never used outside and only a few 
QSO's inside. Mint condition. All functions and specs in order. Had plans to do 
trail work which won't be happening.

Past projects. 3 K2's, a K1 and the usual small QRP kits, in addition to 
numerous Heathkits many moons ago.

The price for the above from Elecraft is $522.

Selling for $495.00 plus $16.00 insured shipping. Pay-Pal or money order. CONUS

I have FOR SALE a KX1 transceiver 20/40 meter version with built in KXAT1
automatic antenna tuner.  This radio worked perfectly until I added the
30/80 meter module and then nothing worked.  I removed the 30/80 meter
module and restored the radio to original condition (I think).

It now works perfectly on 20 meters but needs some help on 40 meters.  Puts
out about 3.5 watts on 20 meters, less than 1 watt on 40 meters.  Receives
on 40, but not as well as on 20.

I am just plain tired of messing with it.  It is very clean, not a scratch
on it.  SELL for $175 mailed to your doorstep.  If you are interested

I have not built one, but would be willing to look at it for you
for free, I could even pay the return shipping.

Maybe others would be willing to do
the same thing.
After all, you get to check the radio out without buying one...


I built my K2 in 3 days with zero problems, the antenna tuner
worked fine first time, the kpa100 also worked fine first time.

I do a LOT of building/fixing, and used to be a quality control
inspector in a circuit board factory, which meant finding and fixing
solder problems.
