Picking up this thread late, but have you run into this situation? From the Kit Assy Manual: If you hear nothing in the speaker when first applying power to your K3S (and no headphones plugged in) hold CONFIG to access the configuration menu, then rotate VFO B to display SPKR+PH. Given those symptoms I don't think this is it, but you could try going to speaker+phones and tapping the 1 key to toggle between PH.R SW- and +. But, for #1 to happen the speaker setting in config must be #2. If it is #1, I get no audio. 3.
