Re: [Elecraft] K3 and what's next from Elecraft

2013-08-22 Thread W4SK
In that case, I'd like to ad that I am sick and tired of having to GET UP
from radioing with my K3 and WALK to the kitchen to fix coffee and those
toasted cheese appetizers that you talked me out of. Why doesn't Elecraft
ad a small coffee maker and toaster oven to the K3? Just an option, of
course, but surely a badly needed one. And maybe better suspension parts,
so it will corner like a Porsche 911.

Well...how about a transverter microwave board for the KPA500 and a
matching-size sealed-RF box that can be used as a heating chamber for those
frozen dinner packages...thus saving a trip to the kitchen for a
substantial meal. Of course, it could be marketed as a 500 watt
DC-to-light dummy load. Maybe even add a clock with timer circuit and a
few extra buttons for labeling of your choice (defrost, cook, etc.) on a
front-opening door.
