I only ever say G3YMC QRP (no /) towards the end of a QSO with another QRP station, and normally don't even mention that I am QRP until well into the QSO when I give details of the rig. As for calling weak signals and hoping they will come back, I have just had three QSOs with FY/G3SXW and FY/G3TXF. In each case their signal was just above the noise and I would normally never even think it worth calling. But since I know Roger and Nigel I decided to have a go. In each case he came back after just one or two calls through the pileup (and the usual 599...).
