Re: [Elecraft] K2 - Extra capacitor 2.7C
Hello David, In professional Morse I have often heard R used as a . (dot) in number notation. Hence 2R7 on a capacitor is most likely 2.7 pF. 73, Roelof Bakker, pa0rdt -- Mijn Postvak In wordt beschermd door SPAMfighter. 305 spam-mails zijn er tot op heden geblokkeerd. Don Ehrlich wrote: 2R7 is 2.7. The R is used as a decimal point. Actually, I am pretty sure that it means 2.7 ohms, resistive, i.e., this notation is only meaningful for resistors. The R is a place holder for the units boundary when there is no k or M to define the scale factor. -- David Woolley Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want. Re: [Elecraft] K2 - Extra capacitor 2.7C
Ok, this has been resolved. Thanks for all replies. It has been pointed out to me that 2R7 is 2.7. I still need to let Elecraft know about the typo in the Rev. G manual. -- JT Croteau, N1ESE - Manchester, NH ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
