The work is on the joints-axes3 branch on git.linuxcnc.org. The sample
configuration file is sim/axis/ldelta.ini, the visualization is called
lineardelta, and the kinematics is called lineardeltakins.

Nontrivial kinematics are nearly unusable on the master branch, but merging
 the
BB-supporting branch with the joints-axes3 branch is not likely to be fun
 either.
You can try just cherry-picking the linear delta commits on top of a
BB-compatible branch (the inifile will need to be rewritten though, as ja3
inifiles are markedly different than master-branch inifiles)

5a9848b sample-configs: sim linear delta configuration
 ecd64fe vismach: Linear delta visualization
f2126b2 kins: Implement linear delta kinematics

Merging from ja3 looks like a complete mess. I just merged from the
earlier jepler/lineardeltakins branch, which required only a minor fixup
of a Makefile conflict.

Are there any significant differences/improvements in the ja3 versions
of the files?

Unfortunately, I don't recall.

Thanks in advance for this important but probably very tedious work.

I'm in the process of rebasing joints_axes3 into a new branch i'm
calling joints_axes4, on top of master. It's more work than
anticipated, and I got sidetracked by non-linuxcnc stuff most of
September, but i'm hoping to finish it up as soon as possible and have
something to push. Then hopefully we can all take a look at ja4, fix
all the bugs, and merge it into master.

The the ubc branch can be rebased on top of that, and everyone wins.

I have copies of this in my stale clone of the LinuxCNC repository on

here as to what's going on.

Why did the jepler/lineardeltakins branch get deleted, and did the code
get moved to somewhere else I should pull from instead?

Charles,
Hello, get the JA3 ( joint axis rev 3 ) branch
It has ldelta and rdelta ( linear delta and rotary delta )
with vishmach puppets too :)
