Anyone out there with any info on a vintage EMI receiver, AN/URM-47, built
by Stoddart? I have a mint unit, no power cord, several pins within the
circular mil-style power connector, no way to know what pins are phase and
neutral. Any other info appreciated.

Thanks,

Old messages on the New EMC directive

2005-02-04 Thread owner-emc-p...@listserv.ieee.org
Hi,

A while ago I saw the messages regarding the New EMC Directive.

I wanted to look through some of the messages however I did not save them on
my PC,

Are they saved on the IEEE site at all and is there a way I can see them ?

Thanks and regards
 Darren Pearson.

Robert,

I agree about the spammers, that is why I have it set up with restricted
access and hidden email addresses. Also, I don't allow attachments.

2005-02-04 Thread owner-emc-p...@listserv.ieee.org
Hi Robert:

Adding to your comments on spammers...

All incoming e-mail to the IEEE is scanned for both spam
and viruses. Both are effective. If you have an IEEE
alias, you know how effective they are!

In addition, our listserver does not distribute messages
>from non-subscribers. This is double-protection against
spam.

Our subscriber list is not available to non-subscribers.
I'm not sure our subscriber list is available to our
subscribers -- only to our list administrators.

So, if you get spam, virus, phishers, etc., they did not
get your address from us!

Test report and DoC for peripheral devices

2005-02-04 Thread owner-emc-p...@listserv.ieee.org
Dear Experts,

I am in the process of declaring the FCC Part 15 class 'A',
compliance for an add on card manufactured by us. This card will be part of
a panel and the panel contains additional PCBAs. The card has been tested
for compliancy by assembling into a panel. The panel (which is not
manufactured by us) is an FCC compliant one and has its own DoC for part 15
class 'A'.
This card is a digital device which just receive digital data from
some external device (through cable) process it and send the processed
digital data to one of the PCBAs of the panel. D.C. 12 volts power for this
card is provided by the panel. No RF transmitter / receiver is involved
either in the panel nor in the card.
What details my test report should have and how my DoC should be?
Your expert guidelines are requested.

Sincerely

K.Balasubramanian
Project Leader - Hardware.
