[PSES] SRD in China

2012-04-20 Thread Michael Loerzer
Hi,

I have a question regarding Chinese short range device requirements.

Specification:
metering equipment (heat, water) with SRD's

868MHz Band in Europe
center frequency 868,95 (frequency band 868,7 - 869,2MHz)
10mW
bandwith approx. 250kHz

or 434MHz Band in Europe
center frequency 434,475MHz
10mW
bandwith approx. 250kHz

Low Duty Cycle

Is such equipment allowed to operate in China? If not which frequency bands
are allowed?

Any support is appreciated.

Best regards

[PSES] 答复: SRD in China

2012-04-20 Thread Paul Wang
Hi Michael,

As I know the 800MHz SRD device in China is from 868MHz to 868.6MHz and should
be 5mW.

So you may need to change it.

[PSES] Low voltage DC electrical wire and cables require CCC approval?

2012-04-20 Thread Chuck McDowell
I am writing to ask for help in identifying if a cable carrying 48VDC at 2A
maximum current will require a CCC certified cable.

The cable is used to interconnect a AC line to DC power supply to a 48VDC
speaker.
The cable does not run inside a wall or other building construction.
The cable similar to a AC wall wart output supplying 48 VDC.

I understand CCC controls these 5 categories of Electrical wires and cables.
0101: Cord sets
0102: Flexible rubber-sheathed cables for mining purposes
0103: Insulated cables (wires) for railway vehicles of rated voltage up to and
including 3kV
0104: Rubber insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V
0105: Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including
450/750V

I am failing to understand where the lower limit is for these types.

Do all current carrying conductors with a insulation surrounding in China
require CCC approval?

Can you direct me to the document , GB standard or law that specifies the lower
limits of the above electrical wires and cables or is this found in a clause of
my GB 8988;2001 (IEC60065;1998) standard?

Thank you in advance,

Chuck McDowell

[PSES] safety standard for PV-related stuff

2012-04-20 Thread Brian Oconnell
IEC site says that TC22 has voted yes on IEC62477-1 Nov 2011, but still
waiting. EN62103 has scope that I need, but not published in LVD. And the
usual suspects of 61730, 61646, 61215, 50521, and 50548 not correct for my
stuff.

EU equivalilant of UL1741/UL1012 for stuff in combiner box that is connected
to a PV string?

thanks,
Brian

Combiner boxes are in the scope of 62109-4, but this is a potential new
work item on TC82's docket.

For now, the guts would be subjected to whatever the guts normally would
if the guts were components used elsewhere.

2012-04-20 Thread Brian Oconnell
Thanks Peter. I looked at this standard, but ignored because no EN and noted
that the WG had it marked 'on hold'. Recent status known?

I want single grand unified product safety and EMC standards for everything.
Both less than 20 pages. Using very large font. And mostly pictures.
