It is believed that he was the first - in 1983 - to use ferrite common-mode chokes for interference suppression. He has represented Rank-Xerox, and in more recent times the Radio Society of Great Britain, on numerous committees concerned with EMC Standards. Upon retirement he established Richard Marshall Limited, providing EMC and design consultancy together with the manufacture of specialised test equipment. It is now 63 years since he solved his first serious EMC problem! Re: [PSES] RFID - USA
Dear Experts, Would appreciate if anyone can provide on RFID requirements in America? Not sure if FCC will suffice this requirements. The RFID has an operating frequency of 13.56MHz. Re: [PSES] RFID - USA
Hello Mel, For the RFID devices at 13.56 MHz, these come under FCC Part 15.225. (For Industry Canada, it would be RSS-210 section A2.6) RFID at 900 MHz is typically certified to FCC Part 15.247 as a DSS device. For lower frequency RFID, such as 125 kHz, etc., people typically use the general emissions limits of 15.209 and certify to Part 15C. Thanks, Michael. Re: [PSES] RFID - USA
Mel, 15.225 for TX requirements. 15.207 15.209 for the conducted radiated measurements. Antenna(s) used may impact testing scope. If interested in product safety, UL 60950-1 may apply.
