[PSES] 答复: [PSES] Safety and Altitude

2013-09-05 Thread Paul Wang
For China CCC, there is no 2500m, 3048m, only 2000m and 5000m.
So you have the choice to add the altitude symbol to show the using condition
is below 2000m, or you can test the clearance distance to meet the higher
altitude requirements.
If you are certifying a product with CCC certified power supply, the power
supply need to be approved to the new GB4943 standard first. If the power
supply can be used below 2000m only, the end product also need to declare the
2000m altitude.

In addition to 5000m and 2000m we have also approved products up to 2500m,

You may know this, but I just want to point out- your product does not have to
*function* at 5000m, it can shut down for OT or whatever, they just seem to
want the spacings set for 5000m.

You also have the option of labelling with the "no mountains" graphic if you
can't get 5000m spacings.

Hi there,

Wanted to get some simple data point based on your experiences across different
companies and industries: what are an altitude levels been used while
evaluating 60950-1 isolation requirements? By default you get 2000m, how many
of you used different levels?
This is driven by 5000m CCC requirement and some critical power supply
component limitations.
If there will be enough responses, I’ll send back statistical breakdown.

[PSES] 答复: Chinese UL?

2012-06-18 Thread Paul Wang
Hi Gary,

There may be some misunderstanding between you and the Chinese manufacturer.

UL has a branch in China called UL-CCIC but cannot do CCC test.

CCC test covers both safety and EMC so CB report can be accepted for safety
part if the model name, factory name and manufacturer name are identical to
the CCC application.

But EMC need to be tested in government labs. So if the product is not
functional, how can the test be conducted?

Besides CCC, you still need SFDA for medical equipment.

Just FYI.

Does CCC handle medical products C large X-ray machines and the like, or
does China allow the use of a CB report.

One of our program manages has been asked to get samples ready for
“Chinese UL” and that the samples don’t have to be final versions, just
maybe electrical prototypes. I know that UL has offices in China, but those
are nothing more than an extension of the US offices. Do you think the
customer might mean CCC?

I’m confused. China isn’t part of the EU so I don’t believe they accept
CB reports for safety, but I think UL does have country deviations for China
C so maybe they do.

But in either case sending non-functioning prototypes mechanical or
electrical doesn’t match up in any case I can think of.

This is a Chinese Manufacturer but I think we having some difficulties with
the language.

Can anybody straighten me out a little here.

Is there any reason why PRC (People's Republic of China) is not acceptable?

[PSES] 答复: Low voltage DC electrical wire and cables require CCC approval?

2012-04-23 Thread Paul Wang
Chuck,

According to the voltage, it should be outside of CCC category.

But if you want to be 100% sure, you still need to check the standard.

The corresponding IEC standards are IEC60227-3/-4/-5/-6/-7 and IEC
60245-3/-4/-5/-6/-7.

Some of the GB standards have no corresponding IEC standard so it’s
difficult to check.

Subject: Low voltage DC electrical wire and cables require CCC approval?

I am writing to ask for help in identifying if a cable carrying 48VDC at 2A
maximum current will require a CCC certified cable.

The cable is used to interconnect a AC line to DC power supply to a 48VDC
speaker.

The cable does not run inside a wall or other building construction.

The cable similar to a AC wall wart output supplying 48 VDC.

I understand CCC controls these 5 categories of Electrical wires and cables.

0101: Cord sets

0102: Flexible rubber-sheathed cables for mining purposes

0103: Insulated cables (wires) for railway vehicles of rated voltage up to
and including 3kV

0104: Rubber insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750V

0105: Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltages up to and
including 450/750V

I am failing to understand where the lower limit is for these types.

Do all current carrying conductors with a insulation surrounding in China
require CCC approval?

Can you direct me to the document , GB standard or law that specifies the
lower limits of the above electrical wires and cables or is this found in a
clause of my GB 8988;2001 (IEC60065;1998) standard?

Thank you in advance,

[PSES] 答复: SRD in China

2012-04-20 Thread Paul Wang
Hi Michael,

As I know the 800MHz SRD device in China is from 868MHz to 868.6MHz and should
be 5mW.

So you may need to change it.

主题: SRD in China

Hi,

I have a question regarding Chinese short range device requirements.

Specification:
metering equipment (heat, water) with SRD's

868MHz Band in Europe
center frequency 868,95 (frequency band 868,7 - 869,2MHz)
10mW
bandwith approx. 250kHz

or 434MHz Band in Europe
center frequency 434,475MHz
10mW
bandwith approx. 250kHz

Low Duty Cycle

Is such equipment allowed to operate in China? If not which frequency bands are
allowed?

Any support is appreciated.

Best regards
