Jon Hi Jake, My Z axis on a cinci contourmaster (BP sized) mill is as follows; 5i20- 7i33 - 1525BR Servo Dynamics amp in torque mode - Keling KL-34-180-90 - 2:1 - 10 mm ball screw. P = 600 I = 1000 D = 1.3 FF0 = 0 FF1 = 0 FF2 = 0 This gives decent but not phenomenal following error. ~ 0.0005. When I tried running the amp at max (7 A) it screamed at me. I only got stability when I backed off the current. It will still do 80 ipm so no problem. I should revisit the Z tuning with the idea of raising the P some more. I initially tried tuning with large FF1 values but as I decreased it the following error got progressively better. There is almost no difference between FF1 = -0.03 and 0.0 so I left it at zero. Re: [Emc-users] ClassicLadder : sequential editor problem/bug
Hi Chris I finally managed to get my grafcet working, thanks to the link you mentionned. It sound stupid, but... nowhere in the doc nor anywhere there is the info that grafcet steps are related to %X1 %X2 etc variables to acces them with the ladder ! This saved my week of work :) :) I'm preparing a more detailled email on how my stuff work, and with the bugs I pointed out with the editor and the interpreter. Also a special thank to Dave for his so detailled email that also saved me lost of reading and head-scratching. a preview of the final grafcet I use : http://imagebin.ca/view/CNXk0nbd.html (not exactly the last one but looks the same.) Please consider adding to the clasicladder example wiki page when your done. Grafcet is not documented well because not many use it. (like ummm just you) If you could write a bit for the manual that would be great too. You could send it ti John Thorton or I to integrate it in the manual. hay even point form notes would be a good starting point. I will try to work on any glaring bugs. a preview of the final grafcet I use : http://imagebin.ca/view/CNXk0nbd.html (not exactly the last one but looks the same.) [Emc-users] DRO for a KING PDM-30 Milling/Drilling Machine
Hello All, I have a question that I thought that I would bounce off everyone in this forum regarding a DRO project for my KING PDM-30 Milling/Drilling Machine. I know that this is an EMC forum but with the varied level of expertise on the forum I wanted to try my luck. SO my question is has anyone ventured into such a project and if so any recommendations on the kit or components that would recommend. I was hoping to get something for the particular mill I have but I dont mind buying individual components to save money. Any feedback experiences link would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Shaffin. -- This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone? Re: [Emc-users] Mitsubishi DC servo motors
Andy thanks for the tip, fortunate the problem was solved with only a few dolars, but I'll keep looking for information about any possible driver for my DC motors. Just in case. Thanks for your help!. Regards. I believe that there are ways to use almost any form of servo motor at all with EMC2. Brushed DC motors are particularly easy, but EMC can control any form of drive that accepts a PWM or analogue voltage input. -- atp -- This SF.net email is sponsored by Sprint What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone? [Emc-users] Upgrade 2.3.? Live Disk to 2.4.2 Won't run.
Hi All; The first complaint in the EMC2 Terminated Print file is: libnml/buffer/physmem.cc 143: PHYSMEM_HANDLE: Can't write 10748 Bytes at offset 60 from buffer of size 10208. libnml/cms/cms_in.cc 1383: cms: (cmsStatus) Error writing 10748 bytes to global memory at offset 81F8CC0 (See libnml/cms/cms_in.cc 1383. ) (THIS WAS REPEATED ABOUT FIFTEEN TIMES). The second complaint may be a result of the first: waiting for s. axis (THIS WAS REPEATED A FEW HUNDRED TIMES). The computer is a 1.8 GHZ Intel with 512 MB RAM (511 shown on boot up). QUESTIONS: 1- Does this have a quick fix; or should I reload the 2.3.? live disk? 2- How should I include the 'EMC2 Terminated Print file' without retyping, in the future? Re: [Emc-users] ClassicLadder : sequential editor problem/bug
Hi Yann, I'm very glad to hear that you were able to get Grafcet to work. I think you have inspired me to give it a try also. That looks similar to the sequential function charts that I have used before, but with less detail. Using a Grafcet chart or charts, along with some ladder logic files might be an improvement vs using strictly ladder logic. I'm looking forward to your write up as well! :-) Dave On 7/9/2010 3:03 PM, yann jautard wrote: Hi Chris I finally managed to get my grafcet working, thanks to the link you mentionned.
