Re: [Emc-users] Repost: Teach with joystick. (Welding)
Typo Alert! I occurred to me that all you need to do is poll your positions once a second and then construct a G01 from that. For the feed rate use G93 F60, inverse time, so it completes the move in one sixtieth of a second. Edit..one sixtieth of a minute I think a one second position update interval will work fine for welding, but it could be any speed. Does this sound workable? [Emc-users] Power Supply. was Re: ini.fiiles (aaron Moore)
Aaron, Try splitting the power supplies, one to x, one to y and z ummm, Z and side to side, other to the big heavy gantry alone. If it's also happening in Mach then it's prolly power supply. I looked up those power supplies, they are switch mode, as opposed to chunks of transformer. Copper and Iron are your friends. I tried a switching supply on my router and it acted crazy, worked on one axis at a time but on multi axis moves it would stutter and stall. Dan P.S. My first machine was a hell of a learning curve. Re: [Emc-users] Scale and Rotate
Hi John, Do scale and/or rotate exist in EMC2? for display or machining? For machining. Where is my PyVCP hiding? did it disapear or you never had it and want it? I never had it and want it. what is the code you are using to create your PyVCP? Code? What is this code. Seriously, I don't know anything about the PyVCP. I just keep hearing it referred to and I can't find out much about it other than I think it would be handy. Do I have to construct it from scratch? How does EMC2 build bicycles? I make bicycles. EMC is helping me make bicycle parts. A bike frame is not just tubes, but lots of little parts that get welded on and in between the tubes. So far I have machined some test parts and turned one widget that has made it to production. [Emc-users] Four Parallel ports
Hi, I stuck 3 PCI parallel port cards into my pc. Without any work at all I could print from two of them. Very neat and I am assuming because they will print I can attach those for extra I/O. But the 3rd card was not a parallel port, as you only get three total, (one on board and two expansion on the PCI bus) It was there in the hardware profile and it looked just like all the others but it did not get the parallel port driver attached to it. Is there another way to read and write to it? for extra I/O? Dan - This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
