Nice looking machine! I hope yours has a Z axis in better tune than the one in
the video.

Ow, my poor ears! I never was one of those teens who liked to listen to music
at TOP or Threshold Of Pain so at 42 I still have excellent full range hearing,

I've got a pretty good offer on a DM-4400. Too good offer to let it go...
It has closed loop steppers (surprised me) with gearboxes. It seems to be
in good condition but I am ready to give it new ballscrews and new motors
with direct feed or a 2:1 belt reduction and stronger steppers (more
speed). It has a toolchanger. Me likey.

I certainly hope your motors run quieter than that! That level of noise is
a 100% show-stopper IMNSHO. Some nice quiet micro-stepping drivers please.

But otherwise it looks like a capable machine the tool changer is nice.

Naah, I think that's only his video. Check this:

Too slow with the standard motors anyway, will be upgraded. :)
I've spoken to another guy who is retrofitting these with Mach, it's a
pretty impressive machine for the size with threading capability and such.
But the controller is (non G-code) proprietary and therefore I can get it
for a decent price.
