Re: [Emc-users] sem motors
2013/8/13 Terry Christophersen tcninj...@yahoo.com Hi all, I am reretrofitting a bridgeport that I use for second operations. It has 250 line encoders now. I would like to upgrade these encoders to say 500 or 1000 line(I am getting rid of the 2:1 ratio pulleys and going for 1:1 so I have lost 1/2 of my resolution) I dont need heidenhains or super expensive ones as this machine is not used on a daily basis. Motor: SEM MT30-R4 31lb/in I dont care if it mounts under the cover like the old one or is outside on the end of the shaft. The orginals were 3 piece(light, wheel, pcb with sensors all open) Any sources? Thanks Terry These are my favorites since many years. You can get them at Digikey for cheap. http://cncdrive.com/AMT103.html /S -- Get 100% visibility into Java/.NET code with AppDynamics Lite! It's a free troubleshooting tool designed for production. They have a wide variety of hub sizes and disc resolutions available, but some combinations you might want are not made. If Digi-Key doesn't have stock, you can get them from Avnet. But, the Digi-Key web site is the fastest way to find the combo you want. Jon -- Get 100% visibility into Java/.NET code with AppDynamics Lite! Remember, they are only dust sealed. You have to protect them from coolant, etc. I get my couplers from helicoil in CA. Don't know if they are any better or worse than others tho.
