I agree that the price for the paid version is too high though. Compared to other apps, yes. For a good piece of software, no. Mind: includes support. If you want/need to make a living out of it, you need to count that time. I wrote them my feedback yesterday and got it answered this morning. Wow. Compared to R2Mail2, MailDroid's IMAP handling is WAY faster. Nice clean UI. Is has minor drawbacks though. But still worth the money IMHO.
