RE: [E-devel] HI! EveryBody (and E on Win32)

2003-01-30 Thread Brizuela Ezequiel Hector
I have a VM With a linux on my WinNT system, But I can make a partition and
Put it to boot, because the computer is in the office, not is my machine (or
almost... not in the way that i LIKE to be).
Maybe I think to use a Cygwin to start... in that way I think is more easily
and less demoralize to myself :D

With the Cygwin, The X server is running Actually...

I try it and later make some tricks to usea as the main interface.

Re: [E-devel] E on Win32 - related question

2003-01-30 Thread potatoes
i think having evas on win32 is something that really should be
considered. the whole UI war, in my opinion, is what is holding linux
back. to have a truely helpful and successful widget set i think a
win32 version is needed. but, of course, this is a problem we should
probably deal with later.

Tony Peguero wrote:

Hi all.
I have a related question. I don't see much point in running the whole of E
on Win32, but I am interested in using Evas as part of a GUI in a cross
platform game that I'm working on. Would it be possible to do that? Is it
practical? What would be required?
Thanks.

[E-devel] [enlightenment - General] e16.4 or e16.5 version number wierdness

2003-01-30 Thread SourceForge.net

Read and respond to this message at:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=1854432
By: stanbey

I just tried to install ETerm (Eterm-0.9.2-1.i386.rpm) and got some failed
dependencies: libast.so.1, linImlib2.so.1 and libutempter.so.0)

I thought I must have an old version of Enlightenment, so I tried to download
the latest stable version. What *is* the latest stable version? Every version
I have been able to download from sourceforge is older than the one I have installed
(enlightenment-0.16.5-85).

Even wierder, 16.4 seems to be more recent (judging by timestamps) than 16.5.

What's going on? And what do I need to install to get Eterm to install?

[E-devel] Eterm installation

2003-01-30 Thread Philippe Dhont (Sea-ro)
Hi all,
Probably a simple question for you.
I downloaded eterm and libast.
Installed libast under the normal path (usr/local)
So my files are in /usr/local/lib/usr/local/bin and also in
/usr/local/include i believe.
But when i ./configure the eterm program it always says:

ERROR:you need libast 0.5 or higher to build.

But the libast-confif says it is version 0.5 so this is a problem with the
path.
How can i correct it ?

Regards,

Philippe Dhont

[E-devel] small bug in evas

2003-01-30 Thread vanuxem gregory
Since the add of smart object
the loading of image in evas has a small bug:

if you add two times '/' in a path
evas bug strangely

in e/src/icons.c ,icon_update_state
if I had :

---
sprintf(icon,"%s/%s",e_config_user_dir(),"icon/icons.db");
...
evas_object_image_file_set(ic->obj.icon, icon, key);

=> /home/*/.e//icon/icon.db
=> BUG

-
sprintf(icon,"%s%s",e_config_user_dir(),"icon/icons.db");
...
evas_object_image_file_set(ic->obj.icon, icon, key);

=> /home/*/.e//icon/icon.db
=> no bug

Regards

PS : the add of smart object is unrelated with this bug

[E-devel] efsd - listdir and sort

2003-01-30 Thread vanuxem gregory
/*--*/
I have tried efsd and when I want monitor
a dir with 'op_list_sort'

I never receive some 'file created', when I had new file, due to the
fact that efsd wait a 'end exist'.

I have looking for in the code, and I have found that in efds_main.c
(handler of FAM event) contain a param, 'sort_files' that is never used.
It's just an indication no the bug.

Actually when I use listdir sorted but I have added some event (created
deleted, execute ...(!*Exist*)) in the test (!m->dir || !m->sorted)

/**/

Another thing, when I want to monitor
some reaaly big dir (about 2000 dir in)
A lot of thread sleep and i never receive too the result.
I have searched why and found that sometimes the error for the
send command is
ESPIPE  29  /* Illegal seek */
What to do : wait and see or break the connection...

Really sorry for my poor english.
