[e-users] evidence
Hi, been trying to theme evidence and something may not be right.. I'm using gant theme and I get this: (...) 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... 0 thumbnail.c::thumbnailer_cxl: sent SIGKILL to thumbnailer task for /home/nando/./.evidence/filemanager_indigo.png... It doesn't seem to work so well either. So, did I do something wrong? What can I do? Thanks, Fernando
[e-users] some prob.'s with e17-cvs
hi all, a few days ago i discovered enlightenment-17 and i really like it. although it's only alfa code, i'm using it. ( used kde and never liked the other light wm.'s ) so i am following the cvs tree from day to day and i wrote some buildscripts to do the work for me. using slackware 10.1 i have one script that builds a package for the EFL-libs ( =the libs package ), and another that gives a package containing e, e_utils, e_modules and engage (= the apps package). the prob.'s i encounter are : 1) since 8/19/05 when i install the new apps package, i don't get a mouse pointer. all works, i can start programs form engage, and when the pointer is above a working window ( for example konqueror ) i see the small black arrow. when i logout of e17, i see an error saying smth. like: ERROR: no default pointer. pointer has size of zero . what could be causing this ? ( btw. i'm just using the 8/18/05 apps package for now ) 2) i enlarged the default and title bar text sizes and they show up correct at startup. but after using the pc for a while , textsizes drop back to the default ( smaller ) size. when i reload the theme, the size is according to my settings again, but not for long. i haven't found a certain action that causes it to change, so i don't have a clue. 3) am i able to change ( enlarge ) the text size of the gadgets ? i mean the temperature readout and the readings in the monitor, because i find them a little to small. 4) i read that transparancy won't work, because other apps cannot read the background image. but when i use konqueror, the transparant menu's work ok. i mean, when the menu goes outside the konq.-window i can see the background trough it, just as it should be. is this another kind of tranparancy they are using ? well...i guess that's it. a very short bug list for a piece of alfa-code eh... :) anyone a hint on one of the topics ? greetings, egag --- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects Teams * Testing QA Security * Process Improvement Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf ___ enlightenment-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-users

Yes it was the case for that app : it began flashing red, then the app responded, but the red signal was still flashing. And it stopped a few seconds later. Good feature ! Do you think it's possible to make the difference between a dead app and a slow app ? François 2005/8/21, Rodolfo M. It flashes when the application stops responding. There's no way to know if it stopped responding for good or not. That decision has to be made by you. When it starts flashing it has been 10 seconds after it has stopped responding. Just give it some more time if you know it is doing something heavy... Fernando.

Re: [e-users] more module troubles
On Sat, 20 Aug 2005 11:59:42 +0200 Stefan [EMAIL PROTECTED] babbled: Hi, I read the posts about the weather module with high interest the last days, because I have some troubles with the e17 modules myself. Someday after updating e17 this bug(?) infected my system and never left since. All of them have the same problem, that their graphics aren't always updatet properly. Which means 80% of the time the cpufreq module's pointer thingy on top is missing and the battery module shows the textvalues but no battery in the background. The textvalues itfels seem all to show the right values. The clock module suffers the most. Its NEVER updated after loaded once and thats not that good for a clock is it? Same for the weather module. No update of the data after it was loaded. All tries to reset the modules somehow have failed so far. I recognized, that the cpufreq module seems to work right when I keep moving around the cursor and stops showing the top graphic properly (how to call this thing anyway? scala?) after not moving it for some time. This may be connected to a strange behaviour of entrance. When I use the shutdown button on the entrance screen, that is point - click - and forget, entrance is not shutting down sometimes and seems to be stuck. But if I move the cursor around a little bit when this happens, it starts the normal shutdown process. Well ideas anyone? I feel kinda lost here. I looked for this in the code, but this is deep down in e I think.
