[e-users] temperature processes

2009-12-18 Thread Geoffrey
I have 62 tempget processes running on my current E17 install. Sounds
like a bit much. Is that normal?

They are there as a punishment to you for logging out and logging in
multiple times ( how dare you leave e ;-) ).

Well, on a more serious note, they shouldn't be there. And yes, you can
kill them. killall tempget should do the job.

Great segway!!

I have been logging out and logging back in to try to resolve the fact
that my reboot/shutdown/screen lock options are not on my menus. :(
I've added the following:

users: esoteric allow: *

to my /opt/e17/etc/enlightenment/sysactions.conf

But that does not seem to have resolved these issues.

Well, on a more serious note, they shouldn't be there. And yes, you can

Will do, thanks.

Re: [e-users] drag desktops in pager gadget

2009-12-18 Thread Andreas Plesch
Since I had posted about this pager issue which is perhaps a more
general drag and drop issue, I received confirmation from another E17
user. Now I want to move this issue along but found that I cannot
create tickets in the trac system.

Is there another bug tracking mechanism ? Alternatively, could a
authorized trac user enter this ticket into the system, please, so it
is not left behind ?

Thanks, Andreas

 Hello,

I installed the latest snapshot (2009-12-02) on gentoo and have an
issue with the pager. I want to use the drag whole desktop function,
and it works when I use the pager in a shelf. However, when I use the
pager as a gadget, dragging desktops to new positions in the pager
does not have an effect, no matter what button I set in the advanced
settings. I use the default (black and white) theme. Any ideas ?

Hey Andreas,

I had chatted with a dev in IRC and he couldn't recall this ever
working, while I was positive it did. I wanted to checkout an old svn
revision from March-May timeframe to see if I was correct, however I
haven't had the time. Essentially, I will have to unmerge the entire e
installation I currently have and emerge the old one, and iterate until I
can find if/when this feature broke. This will require at least a couple of
hours (and I don't have a dev. machine either).

I will try to post this later today as an enhancement in trac. When I
am able to test the earlier revisions and find that this is a bug, I will
modify it accordingly.

   Cheers.

Yes. Alternatively you can try to merge the config manully, something

this is not something really recommended, I'll leave it to you to figure
