Ok... now I have a complete list:

For building "python-flask-whooshee" in the copr project.. I need:

python3-blinker:
No other dependencies

python3-flask:
python3-itsdangerous
python3-sqlalchemy
python3-werkzeug - Depends on python3-sphinx

python3-flask-sqlalchemy
No other dependencies

So all in all, it's 7 packages...

I have the specs for building only the python3..

What should I do to commit these for review???

I'm already in the fedora packager group...

Thanks...

It is. It's in rhel7-server-optional. Note that CentOS doesn't do any of
the channel stuff, all of base, optional, etc all just are in their base
repo IIRC.

Yeah, I started looking at the spec and saw that comment as well.

Well, We can push out a lower version of the package, but people who
already have the newer one installed will just still have that. It would
fix new installs and the like though.

We definitely don't want to add an Epoch, because the idea is that we
keep the EPEL package "older" than the RHEL one so people who install
get the official one (if available on their arch).

ah , I built po4a to build dpkg on epel7 , but in fact po4a was added
to centos 7 some moments before (I don't know if in RHEL7) and that is
why it misses ppc64 arch [1] IIRC. BTW it also misses on ppc64, perl-
gettext [2], maybe should be good also coordinate the fix of this
package too.
If you could fix these 2 packages may the best is remove po4a from
epel7 repo , if it is possible ... or bump epoch on RHEL7 ...

Unless by ARM he means aarch64 at which case it's all there like the
other primary EPEL arches.

There's a lot of discussion about ARMv7 over the last 2 odd years so I
would also suggest reading the mailing list and meeting logs.

I'm not seeing any talk about it here.

Well, EPEL is add on packages for Enterprise Linux and there is not a
armv7 RHEL.

There has been talk in the past about building other arches against
CentOS, but I am not sure what state the CentOS armv7 efforts are. Are
they fully built and released? Until then I would say help them out in
their efforts. Once they are fully released we just need to figure out
how we can build just armv7 stuff against CentOS.

There's been a couple of attempts at getting SCL into fedora guidelines
which haven't gone anywhere (last I read IIRC was that what might be
considered valid for RHEL as a corporate entity is not necessarily valid
for Fedora so no SCL as FPC don't agree with it).

This actively hurt EL6 as some projects, for example owncloud, had to be
dropped and others, such as nextcloud or letsencrypt/certbot, could never
be introduced.

The EOL date for EL7 is still a long way off but anything relying on PHP,
for example, will soon need to be removed from EPEL7 as projects drop
support for the long EOL'd php5.4

I'd really like to see an effort within EPSCO to address this. As Red Hat
relies more on SCL for recent versions of certain applications there's less
chance of a rebase of these which will affect what we can actually package
in EPEL.

This could potentially tie into your point 3 as CentOS already had the SCL
SIG that builds on the Red Hat SCL packages as an upstream.
